3D display shows people the shape,deep of objects in a more realistic way.In the early science fiction plots,virtual characters appeared in the air.People's pursuit of 3D display never stops.Three Dimensional Display technology can be divided into Stereoscopic Display technology,Volume Display technology and Holographic Display Technology.This paper mainly focuses on the Volume Display Technology.A singlescreen translational volume display system for 3D display is developed.Based on the single-screen translational volume display system,a series of researches on surface voxelization are done.The single screen translation volume display system includes the upper computer software,servo control subsystem,mechanical drive subsystem,optical imaging subsystem and high-speed image control subsystem.This paper mainly design and analyze the mechanical drive subsystem and optical imaging subsystem,as well as the compilation and application of voxelization algorithm demonstration system.In the part of the mechanical drive subsystem,the motion accuracy of the transmission parts the balance of driving mechanism are mainly analyzed.In the part of optical imaging subsystem,the optical path is designed and some imaging rules are made.Based on the analysis of the voxelization algorithm of function oriented surface and parametric surface,a voxelization demonstration system for function surface is completed.The system can display three-dimensional figure by inputting function equation of surface,calculate the voxelization of function surface,display the section image of voxelized surface,and encapsulate the final voxel points into image file for three-dimensional display.Finally,the display experiments are carried out for different types of surfaces.The experimental results show that the principle of single-screen translational volume display is feasible and the displayed image is correct.
