In recent years, technologies for true 3D display become more and more popular. Natural 3D display can be realized by filling the real physical space with voxels. These technologies are deemed to be widely used in future.Our work demonstrated in this paper is for a true 3D display which is designed and made by ourselves. The display depends on a colorful LED screen rotating very fast to generate voxels that fill the cylinder space. Cylinder space is not a uniform space for voxelization, so a two-step method is proposed to quickly complete the uniform and colorful voxelization in the cylinder space for large-scale dynamic scene. We use a cuboid space as an auxiliary space for calculation, thus it is convenient to use the advanced technologies in cuboid space. Furthermore, an incremental voxelization method is used for large-scale dynamic scene to accelerate the voxelization process. Based on the high density of voxels located near the center of the cylinder space, we present an algorithm to combine voxels with low color resolution generated by LEDs in both temporal and spatial space to get more colors. Finally, we design and realize a software platform to simulate the performance of our 3D display system. So developers can optimize the 3D display system with this simulation platform by selecting proper parameters and algorithms. Our algorithms presented in this paper are also testified on the platform.
