The "China-US trade war" in 2018 not only involves the foreign trade policies of China and the United States,but also has a profound impact on global economic trade.This article is published on the "China-US Trade War" from January 1,2018 to June 30,2018,the two major financial and economic daily newspapers in China and the United States-"First Financial Daily" and "Wall Street Journal".The in-depth and comprehensive research on the news reports aims to explore the differences in the construction of the news reporting framework of the same event between the Chinese and American financial media from the perspective of the reporting framework.Based on the framework theory,the thesis mainly adopts the content analysis method and supplemented by the discourse analysis method.It analyzes the research objects from the high-level,middle-level and low-level levels,and concludes that the Sino-US financial media reports on the Sino-US trade war.The commonality is that under the overall tone of "balance" and "negative",both newspapers have paid close attention to the "China-US trade war" and the basis of the "anti-trade war";the conflict point is the two newspapers against the "China-US trade war" The “causes” of the occurrence have different expressions.The Wall Street Journal focuses more on the construction of the news framework for “national security” and “protection of intellectual property rights” in the United States.The “First Financial Daily” focuses more on the “US priority strategy” and “the United States.Block the 'Made in China 2025' implementation." In the report,the Wall Street Journal focuses more on “transferring capital market volatility information”,while the “First Financial Daily” focuses more on “communicating political attitudes and positions”.Through the selection and processing of the source of the news,the two newspapers have gradually enlarged the differences in cognition of events between the two countries.Finally,based on the research results,this paper provides countermeasures for how China's financial media respond to international trade disputes,in order to better play the role of China's financial media in spreading Chinese voice internationally.
