Tancheng,also known as the mandala,originated in ancient India.According to the Buddhist scriptures,it was originally an earth altar to prevent the invasion of the "magic crowd",and gradually evolved into a tancheng of various forms.The tancheng sand painting is one of many forms of tancheng painting,sculpture,architecture,etc.,which means "color mandala" and is regarded as the most artistic religious art of Tibetan Buddhism.Sand paintings in the mandala are not common in life,and most of them appear in special ceremonial activities.It has not only colorful visual effects but also a profound inner spiritual world,and its production skills are complicated and cumbersome.However,the tancheng sand paintings have limited their inheritance and development due to many reasons such as their own characteristics and the limitations of their presentation.With the improvement of people's awareness of the protection of intangible cultural heritage and the rapid development of new media technology,more and more intangible cultural heritage has been protected,innovated and inherited by means of new media digital technology.The tancheng sand painting is the world's intangible cultural heritage.Its craftsmanship also belongs to the traditional ethnic craftsmanship.The cultural significance and economic value it contains are immeasurable.In recent years,the tancheng sand paintings have gradually entered the major museum exhibition halls and have been appreciated by the public.The limitations of its exhibition format also further emphasized the necessity of digital translation of the tancheng sand paintings.Digital translation is the process of deconstruction and reconstruction of the tancheng sand paintings.It inherits and develops the artistic characteristics of the tancheng sand paintings.At the same time,it also incorporates mandala sand paintings into new ideas and presents it in a new posture in the context of contemporary new media In order to expand the spread and influence of the tancheng sand paintings.This article explores the possibility of the digital translation of the tancheng sand paintings through the use of digital technology in the context of new media,with the spread of the tancheng sand paintings as the background,in order to establish new technology forms and artistic expression platforms for the tancheng sand paintings.The study mainly analyzed the artistic characteristics of the painting process of the tancheng sand painting and the aesthetic characteristics including geometric beauty,color beauty,form content and other aesthetic features,and through the beauty of the tancheng sand painting form,expounded the inner essence of the spiritual world's splendid.By analyzing the new digital expression of the tancheng at this stage and combining the tancheng's own artistic characteristics,the research is determined to be a dynamic image.The whole image is divided into three parts: "origin","presentation","disintegration and reincarnation",which presents the formation process of the tancheng sand painting,the inner spiritual world of the tancheng sand painting,and the mandala by combining abstraction and figuration Sand painting collapsed into the process of unifying everything in the dust.The whole image was finally presented on the multi-layer translucent gauze in the form of MAPPING projection,in order to enhance the viewing experience and enhance the atmosphere,so as to achieve emotional resonance,and promote the research process of the digital image of the the tancheng sand painting.
