After years of development,virtual reality technology has already formed a large scale of applications.In the process of constantly improving technology and hardware,virtual reality technology has been widely applied to all areas in military,medical,education,interior design,virtual park and so on.At the same time,sand painting as a new art performing,with its new form and creative content,becomes more and more popular.This paper use virtual reality technology to solve the problems of the lackness of facility and the high price in the real sand painting.The purpose of this system is to design and create a virtual scene that can help people to study,practice and perform the sand painting.Moreover,it provides a solution for researching virtual platform of sand painting park.The main works describe as follows:(1)In the aspect of structuring the virtual scene,this paper solved the problems of unit and coordinate system differences,map loss and terrain structure when docking 3ds Max with Unity3 D model,and realized the real-time driving of Unity3 D.And in this process,the integrated use of streamline surface,UVW expansion,LOD Group technology,Mipmap technology and object pool and a series of optimization methods are used to optimize the whole virtual park from construction to all aspects of driving,so as to enhance the efficiency of the software running,and to reduce the system resources.(2)In the aspect of integration of hardware and software,this paper introduces the Deepoon E2 VR helmet and PQ Labs G4 s touch screen into the Unity3 D software platform.Through the code control of the gyroscope camera tracking,the research finish the real-time feedback and follow up of the first person view and the user helmet,and achieve the function development of user browsing through VR helmet;In view of the fact that Unity3 D can't support the problem of developing multi touch applications in Windows platform,the TUIO protocol is introduced to solve this problem;At the same time,through the change of coordinate system and curve fitting methods,the problems of deviation and discrepancy of coordinates have been solved,and the accurate recognition of multi-touch in Unity3 D has been realized.(3)In the aspect of sand painting,this paper proposed a graph modeling method.The location and time relationship of touch points are defined by vertex and edge,and the graph structure is transformed into matrix using clustering algorithm and graph embedding and then its feature vectors are described to recognize hand gesture.Moreover,the brushes were developed in a pixel simulation way based on corresponding gestures.Finally,the touch of sand painting module has been built.
