With the development of integrated circuits and microelectronics technology,integrated circuit chips are used as information carriers in various fields.IC chip testing includes functions,performance,reliability and safety tests.At present,the country pays more and more attention to the security of cyberspace,and the chip is the core component of hardware equipment,and its security determines the security of a device or system.Depending on the application field,if the security of the chip goes wrong,it may threaten individuals,Social and national security.Therefore,the security inspection and evaluation of integrated circuit chips is an important process to ensure the security of cyberspace.In the safety inspection of integrated circuit chips,the safety of the test interface of the chip is a particularly important factor in evaluating whether the chip is safe.With the development of integrated circuit system testing,at the chip level,almost all MCU and FPGA chips use the JTAG interface as an interface channel for programming control,firmware upgrade,and dynamic debugging of embedded software.This makes the JTAG interface very powerful,and has a very large impact on the security of the chip and the device.Because of the existence of JTAG,it may provide an attacker with a "concealed channel" that can bypass the device-level security mechanism,and even Used as a"backdoor".Based on the research of boundary scan test technology and JTAG interface,this paper carried out the research of integrated circuit chip security detection technology,and designed and realized the boundary scan automatic test platform based on JTAG interface.In order to meet the automatic detection of unknown instructions of the JTAG interface,it can quickly and traversely send various instruction combination codes to the chip,and provide the chip energy side channel information collection interface to provide data support for subsequent side channel analysis.The main work of the thesis includes:1.Research on detection technology of integrated circuit chip JTAG interface.Based on the research on the working principle of the JTAG interface,analysis of the detection method,the detection kit is designed according to the needs,including:physical detection,used to assist in detecting the unmarked JTAG interface;instruction detection,used to detect the length of the instruction register,identify the chip IDCODE,etc.;data Detection,used to complete the detection of the length and content information of the internal data register of the JTAG chip.2.Research on automatic detection technology based on JTAG interface,design boundary scan test upper computer software.Based on the research of JTAG instruction characteristics and IEEE 1149 series standards,combined with the principle of FPGA JTAG interface data communication,the PC upper computer software is designed to achieve basic functions such as filtering instruction files and reconstructing instruction files,and can flexibly send a variety of commands to the JTAG interface Command,monitor the return value,and realize automatic detection.It can automatically scan all the instructions in the instruction space,find effective JTAG interface instructions by observing the return value information,refer to or compare the published instruction set,user manual or BSDL and other related documents,and compare and match with the original instruction feature library data.To find the instructions that are not disclosed in the JTAG interface instruction set documentation.3.Research on side channel energy waveform acquisition technology based on JTAG interface,design and implement side channel information acquisition module of JTAG interface chip,integrate energy signal acquisition circuit,provide trigger signal and energy signal for waveform acquisition,and cooperate with oscilloscope to collect on the device under test The energy change signal curve of the JTAG interface chip provides data support for subsequent side channel security analysis.
