The author's academic influence refers to the academic contribution made by the author to the development of the professional field, and its judgment is based on the recognition of the author's academic achievements by others and the degree of peer response. As an important part of scientific research activities, scientific evaluation of authors' academic influence has important guiding significance for talent introduction, academic resource allocation and title selection. In recent years, author evaluation has been one of the hot topics in bibliometrics. The author's academic influence evaluation is mainly based on the relationship of literature citation. The citation and cited of literature is a common phenomenon in scientific research activities, and often appears in the form of references.Along with the inheritance and innovation of knowledge, the citation relationship reflects the transfer and diffusion of knowledge to a certain extent, and reflects the role and role of the cited author and the cited literature in promoting the exchange of knowledge and promoting the development of the discipline. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to evaluate the academic influence of authors from the perspective of knowledge diffusion.Combing the existing literature,it is found that the research on knowledge diffusion based on Citation perspective mainly includes two aspects: Empirical Research on the law of knowledge diffusion and Research on the index model of knowledge diffusion, but there is no research on the combination of the breadth and depth of knowledge diffusion to evaluate the level of knowledge diffusion.Based on this, this study takes knowledge diffusion as the breakthrough point, designs a new knowledge diffusion index and conducts an empirical study to measure the knowledge diffusion level and academic influence of the author in the development of discipline. This study is mainly divided into five chapters: the first chapter is the introduction, which introduces the research background and significance of the evaluation of the author's academic influence based on the perspective of knowledge diffusion;through literature research,we understand the current situation and shortcomings of the research on the evaluation of the author's academic influence and knowledge diffusion at home and abroad. In Chapter 2,based on the related concepts and theories, the relationship between the level of knowledge diffusion and the academic influence of authors is analyzed. In Chapter 3,based on the existing research, the concepts of the breadth and depth of knowledge diffusion are given, and the author's knowledge diffusion index(KDI)is constructed.Taking the journal papers in the field of information science from 2008 to 2017 included in Chinese Social Science Citation Index(CSSCI)as the data source, this paper selects 44 highly published authors as the research objects, and makes an empirical study on KDI.The analysis shows that KDI reflects the characteristics of the breadth and depth of knowledge diffusion of authors, comprehensively reflects the characteristics of knowledge diffusion of authors, and reflects the academic influence of authors The higher the author's KDI value is,the greater the breadth of knowledge diffusion is,and the stronger the depth of knowledge diffusion is;besides the correlation with the traditional evaluation index of author's influence,KDI also has its own evaluation advantages. Therefore,KDI can also be a useful supplement to the author evaluation system. In Chapter 4,based on the research samples in Chapter 3,the data samples from 2008 to 2017 are divided into five time periods by using the time series analysis method, and the author's KDI values in different periods are calculated to analyze the dynamic trend of the author's academic influence. The results show that: the KDI values of 44 authors increase first and then decrease, which indicates that the academic influence of authors increases first and then decreases;the breadth and depth of knowledge diffusion of 44 authors in the past 10 years also have different trends: the breadth of knowledge diffusion decreases gradually, and the depth of knowledge diffusion increases first and then decreases;at the same time,it is found that Therefore, the author's evaluation of academic influence is more dynamic than the author's evaluation of academic influence It can reflect the changing characteristics of the author's academic influence.Chapter 5 summarizes the research content, briefly introduces the shortcomings of this study, and gives the direction of follow-up improvement. On the basis of previous studies, this paper synthesizes the evaluation indexes of the breadth and depth of knowledge diffusion, considers the number of citations of the author's literature by the cited journals, and brings the quantity and quality of the cited journals into the evaluation system, constructs the author's knowledge diffusion index, measures the knowledge diffusion level of the author, and then evaluates its academic influence,so as to provide a reference for the author's evaluation research New ideas.
