Reading,as a skill for people to learn and accept knowledge,is closely related to the development of culture and the spread of knowledge.China has been a big country in reading since ancient times.The research on Chinese ancient traditional reading concept has a long history.The ancient traditional reading concept is not only reflected in the axiology of reading,but also rises to the personality,cultivation and the life pattern of the world,and even affects the fate of the family and country Transformation and replacement.Therefore,although for the increasingly developed modern internet society,the rise of new technologies such as digital reading and new media is changing people's traditional reading habits and ways,no matter how the times change,the inheritance of people's reading ideas and reading spirit remains unchanged,and the aspirations and ideals of readers will not be obliterated.This paper takes Cheng Zhu school and Yan Li school as the research objects,which have more academic influence in ancient China.Based on the perspective of reading view,this paper summarizes the "Neo Confucianism" thought of Cheng Zhu school and the "practical learning" thought of Yan Li school,and then analyzes their respective reading views.Finally,this paper makes a comparative study of the reading views of the two schools,and obtains the enlightenment for modern society The enlightenment and value of reading.
