With the rapid development of Internet and mobile Internet technology,the era is facing tremendous changes.The media industry has undergone subversive changes as one of the most affected industries.And because the media industry has the characteristics of both public and commercial attributes,the environment and development situation of media companies are more complicated.Media convergence has risen to a national strategy.And the media industry is facing huge opportunities as well as huge challenges.Shandong Internet Media Group Co.,Ltd.is a new type of Internet media group.It mainly controlled by traditional media groups-and established with the provincial mainstream news website as the core.This article takes SIMG as the research object.Through this research,I hope that I can make a small contribution to the development of the enterprise.It is also hoped that the study of this case can provide references for other media groups.First,this article explores the background and significance of the research.Then the research ideas and framework has been introduced.The relevant domestic and foreign literature are briefly reviewed.It also introduces some concepts and theories needed in this article.It uses the PEST model analysis method to analyze the macro environment of SIMG.With the help of Porters five forces model,the industry environment of the network media group is analyzed.Then it briefly introduces the situation of the company,expounding the internal environment of the network media group in terms of resources and capabilities.This article uses the SWOT model to build the SWOT matrix of the Internet Media Group from four perspectives.It briefly introduces the specific directions of the four strategic models.According to the specific analysis results,it is clear that the next development strategy of the Internet media group should be diversified development.This article clarifies that the Internet media group should adopt a diversified development strategy in the next step,expand appropriately while avoiding risks,and resolve external threats through diversified operations.During the execution of this development strategy,SIMG should always ensure that media is the core business.It is also necessary to focus on improving the level of technology,adhere to the independent controllability of core technologies and platforms.And at the same time strengthening business transformation to create a new collection of cultural industries and expand industrial layout.Finally,in terms of guaranteeing the implementation of the network media group’s strategy,measures such as building a new management system,improving various supporting systems,and enhancing corporate culture have been proposed.
