A Research On Fund-raising News Of Xinjiang Daily During The All-round War Of Resistance Against Japan

In recent years,with the continuous rise of China's comprehensive national strength,the dissemination of international image has become a hot topic.It has become an urgent task for Xinjiang mainstream media to create a discourse system in line with China's national conditions so as to deal with the stigmatized reports of foreign media.Xinjiang Daily is of great responsibility in the propaganda and guidance of uniting all ethnic groups in Xinjiang and eliminating its domestic and overseas stereotypes.This paper studies the national responsibility and the duty of the times shown by Xinjiang Daily through the donation news after the outbreak of the comprehensive Anti-Japanese War,and explores how Xinjiang Daily fulfilled the function of mass communication through the construction of reporting themes and finally promoted the spiritual connotation of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,which was not only of guiding significance but also of important practical significance.This paper conducts the research by means of literature analysis,content analysis and case analysis.First of all,it sorts out the social background of fund-raising for the Anti-Japanese War in China and the overall contribution of Xinjiang in the rear area of the Anti-Japanese War.Then,the existing donation news of Xinjiang Daily from 1937 to 1945 are selected as research sample.It analyzes the sample content and summarizes its text characteristics through the category construction in the quantity and frequency,layout,genre,title.Based on C.R Wright's theory of four major functions of mass communication,this paper tries to study the social function of Xinjiang Daily fund-raising new from the perspective of functionalism.The conclusions are as follows: based on the content analysis,Xinjiang Daily during the Anti-Japanese War not only had a large number of fund-raising news,but also had a wide field of vision and various reporting forms,which did not fall into the cage of a single positive report,but paid attention to double-sided tips.Xinjiang Daily' s criticism and praise coexisted,and its patriotic feelings are strong.Xinjiang Daily,based on the perspective of functionalism,through fund-raising news,had fulfilled the social functions of mass media,such as environmental monitoring,interpretation and regulation,social education,entertainment,and so on.It condensed the consensus of the society on donation to the Anti-Japanese War.It promoted the development of the anti-Japanese fund-raising movement in Xinjiang.As a modern news newspaper,Xinjiang Daily had certain social functions of mass media,but there were still some shortcomings in Xinjiang Daily during that period.From a functional point of view,the fund-raising problem under environmental monitoring focused on bringing group pressure to the audience,the construction of education and entertainment function was relatively weak;From a formal point of view,it did not set up a channel to collect donations,and there were relatively scattered news about fund-raising,and no centralized and fixed page;In terms of content,its content is more homogeneous,more emotional mobilization but lack of methodology,and the proportion of negative problems is small.In retrospect and learning,today's media should learn from their strong points to make up for their weaknesses and make use of their own technological advantages combined the characteristics of the times to burst out new vitality.
