Study On The Discourse Expression Of Local Party Journals In Major Events

Local party journals is significant tool for the governments of all administrative regions in China to strengthen internal ideological fortresses,publicize externally,and shape local images;they are important positions for party committees at all levels to build ideology within the party;It has the functions of recording the urbanization process of various provinces and cities,publicizing the latest theoretical research results,and consolidating the mainstream ideology.At present,local party journals are facing the problems of small media discourse space and vague positioning of journals.This problem is fully reflected in the way of discourse expression.The crux of the problem is related to the concepts and functions of local party journals.The local party magazine ‘ Hainan Today ' has published three types of manuscripts,including reviews,research reports,and comprehensive review articles,on the theme of the establishment of the Hainan Free Trade Zone(Port).The paper selects 11 manuscripts(reviews and survey reports)from the ‘Free Trade Port News' and reviewer articles of the‘Viewpoint Review'from April 2018 to April 2019 as samples.The theory of news discourse analysis proposed by Van Dyke analyzes the news discourse from the macrostructure,microstructure,and rhetoric of the report text,and finally concludes that the above content is the process of local party journals' social construction and social significance.This concludes the three major characteristics of the discourse expression of local party journals: the strong meant of achievement propaganda,the full coverage of official political discourse,and the clear meaning of maintaining the local image.Using Marx and Engels' Theory on Communication and Marxist news views on ‘propaganda'to further analyze the factors affecting the formation of party journal discourse expression.Finally,according to the current situation of discourse expression,a way for local party journals to expand the discourse space of the media is proposed.The article points out that it is necessary to distinguish between local party journals and local party newspapers.It is necessary to rethink the positioning of the journals and change the expression of local party journals based on this.
