A Research On Cyber Forum In The Expression Of Discourse

The Internet leads to the approach of the "Nationwide Speech" age. As a public forum, the internet forum is playing an important role in social changes. Taking the Talk board on Tianya Forum as the object of study, the paper analyzes the behaviors of discourse expressing on the internet forums.With the help of the theory of "Five W" by Lasswell, the basic framework of the paper is as follows:The first part is the introduction which comes up with the study background and current situation of cyber expressing behavior and the significance of the study, and makes definitions on relevant major concepts. The second part is the study on the discourse carrier, the Internet forum, summarizing and analyzing its peculiarities of communication and functions. The third part is the study on the subject of discourse expressing, including its peculiarities, role analysis, behavior features and so forth. The forth part is the study on the contents of discourse expressing through investigating the sources of topics and analyzing the forms, types and features to express. The fifth part is the study on the creation and influence of discourse expressing, presenting and analyzing the meanings and influences of them by investigating interpersonal interactions with electronic words. The sixth part discusses and analyzes the several negative problems in the process of discourse expressing. The last part is the reflection on the whole process of discourse expressing, analyzing the possibility of reasonable discourse expressing, the necessity to foster public discourse and construction of the virtual cyber space with good rules of discourse expressing, as well as proposing the future development of Internet forums established with the joint efforts of virtuous citizens, a responsible government and multivariate, tolerance and open society.
