To meet requirements of full-time full-altitude lidar,the atomic filter which is the key component of the lidar could be switched to day or night mode when continuous exploring studies of the middle and upper atmosphere.In order to adapt to the harsh working environment such as Antarctica,it becomes very essential that the atomic filters are remotely controlled.As the needs of improving the lidar at Zhongshan station in Antarctica,a remote-control system of atomic filter was developed and its functions were tested in this paper.The detail works are as follows:(1)The whole project design of control system.A remote-control system based on LAN was designed in this paper,according to the working environment of lidar in Antarctica.In this system,the upper computer was used as the client while the lower computer as the server.(2)The circuit design of control system.A special circuit mainly including the control of the DC brush motor and signal acquisition was designed and manufactured for the harsh electromagnetic environment in this paper.(3)The programming of control software.Both the interfaces of the serial-touch screen and upper computer were designed for the functional requirements of atomic filter.In this system,the communication between the serial-touch screen and the lower computer was achieved by calling the interface function while the communication between the upper computer and the lower computer was realized by network socket programming.(4)The mechanical design and test of control system equipment.The mechanical structure was specially considered to the requirements for long-distance transportation.And all the functions of this system were tested.At present,the prototype of the remote-control system has been working steadily at the Lidar Zhongshan Station,Antarctic.The successful realization of its remote-control scheme can be used as a reference in the construction of smart laser laboratories,which will accelerate the promotion of laser laboratory automation,Internet of Things,and intelligence.
