Direct current(DC) short circuit switch has been widely used in industry equipment, such as electrolytic copper, electrolytic magnesium. However, vacuum contactor switch didn’t equip with quantitative monitoring devices, and the change of current and environment caused the high temperature and made switch burned in the production. So the study of remote monitoring of DC short-circuit switch is particularly important. Now, Zigbee wireless sensor network technology was used in the industrial equipment monitoring and become a hot research field. According to the short circuit switch made by Watteredge in the Jinchuan copper electrolysis company, research and design of Copper Refinery short circuit switch remote monitoring system based on Zigbee Networks were completed.Structure, principle and operation of the P/N WU18558 vacuum DC short circuit switch made by Watteredge company was researched. The strong anti-interference ability, stable signal transmission and simple Zigbee wireless communication technology was chosen to realize remote monitoring and control of the short circuit switch. In addition, Zigbee and its monitoring application was also discussed.Hardware design of short-circuit switch remote monitoring and control system were finished. Zigbee wireless sensor network was consist of terminal node, route node and coordinator node, including CC2530 microprocessors core module, LCD display module, alarm module, wireless transceiver module, temperature acquisition module, digital variables acquisition and control module, serial communication module and power module. In order to ensure the security and reliability of hardware system, hardware modules were also simulated and debugged.Software design of short-circuit switch remote monitoring and control system were finished. Software included two parts. The first part was Zigbee protocol stack platform, including design of wireless sensor network, development of node application program, data acquisition and wireless transceiver of temperature and switch. The second part was PC monitor interface under the environment of VS 2010. Finally, system test platform was set up in the laboratory, and the relevant experiment results showed that preset function of system could be completed.Short circuit switch remote monitoring system in this thesis could run stably, raise the use efficiency of short circuit switch in copper electrolysis and improve the level of automation of production and management.
