Research On Agenda Setting Of TV "Three New" Column Of Xinjiang Radio And Television Station

Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is the latest achievement of China's Marx doctrine,and is an important content of the media's theme publicity and reporting in the new era.How to do a good job of this major theme publicity report is not only to test the practical ability of media people,but also an important theoretical issue in front of researchers.Based on the theory of agenda setting,that is,the media agenda will affect the public agenda and thus build a consensus on a topic,this paper takes the "three new" column report of Xinjiang radio and television station as an example to study its media agenda setting,so as to provide inspiration for better promotion of this major theme through the study of local media reporting practice.This paper takes the column "The new era of Xinjiang as a new chapter under the guidance of Xi Jinping's new socialist ideology of China's characteristics" in the two columns of Xinjiang news broadcast and today's gathering,and selects 512 reports from February 2018 to October 2019 as samples.By analyzing the number,topics,duration and broadcasting sequence,this paper explores the characteristics and changing rules of agenda setting of the "three new" columns in Xinjiang radio and television station,and ponders on how to do a good job of the theme propaganda and reporting of Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in China's new era.It is found that the report of "Three new" column of Xinjiang radio and television station has the following characteristics in agenda setting: the agenda structure is relatively stable,highlighting important issues;paying attention to the guiding function,setting issues actively;covering a wide range of topics,focusing on local development,etc.,so as to meet the public awareness,highlight important events,and set the issue sequence.The study also found that there are some problems in the reports of "three new" column,such as uneven distribution of Theme Framework and single source of news.It is suggested to further balance the theme framework and source of news,enrich the means and forms of reports,and constantly improve the leading force and influence of mainstream media on major theme publicity reports.
