Research On “Time Pioneers” Special Report In People's Daily From 2005 To 2018

After the reform and opening up,especially since the beginning of the new century,China's socialist spiritual civilization and ideological moral construction are facing unprecedented challenges and tests under the impact of foreign multiculturalism.Facing the complicated domestic and international situation,it is imperative to appraise a group of pioneering model characters and groups from all walks of life with the pioneering model to set a benchmark.The "Time Pioneers" column of People Daily comes into being.Although people's cognition and value judgments differ in different times,the ideological culture of the Communist Party of China is in line with the fine traditions and traditional virtues of the Chinese nation.This paper studies the object of “Time Pioneers” in the reports of People Daily from 2005 to 2018,which explores the number of reports,rhetoric,length structure,layout,and other aspects of “Time Pioneers ” with the guiance of Marxist theory from the perspective of Journalism communication,sociology,culturology,politics,commentaries,etc.to present the richness of “Time Pioneers” images and the variety of reporting methods by the interpretation of news text.In this paper,the image of“Time Pioneers” is roughly classified into six categories: people with the whole mind and heart;people with the devotion and selfless dedication;people with the courage and hard working;people with the diligence and sincereness;people with the honesty and integrity;people with noble character and open-mindedness.The special report of“Time Pioneers” is mainly based on communication that contains four different structure forms: biographical,side-by-side,comprehensive,and interview-specific publicity methods.This paper introduces 823 character communications by using seven different ways of beginning: opening the door;setting a suspense;a close-up;a famous sentence,a positive and negative ratio;a self-narrative;and a direct citation.This paper believes that “Time Pioneers” special report of People Daily not only helps to clarify the current responsibility of journalism,but also helps to promote the national spirit and enhance cultural self-confidence.The report research may provide useful enlightenment to enrich the content,methods and strategies of the special reports of the party newspapers in China.
