At present,the development of microstrip antenna is very fast,and it has become one of the most popular new communication antennas.Microstrip antenna is widely used in military,commercial,civil and other industries and fields because of its advantages of light weight,simple structure and low cost.However,with the development of modern wireless communication technology and network,more and more people need to use the microstrip antenna with higher performance,which can't be satisfied only with a single antenna.Therefore,the antenna array composed of multiple antenna elements is more and more likely to be fully valued and widely loved by people.However,there are some coupling effects between the antenna elements,which interfere with the wireless communication system and affect some functions and stability of the antenna,thus seriously hindering the development of the antenna.With the gradual expansion of the application range of antenna array,the research on the coupling effect between the elements of antenna array and the technology and method to reduce the coupling gradually become the main research topic of antenna researchers.In the beginning of the first chapter,this paper briefly introduces the research and development of antenna technology and some theoretical knowledge of antenna technology,such as the basic structure of microstrip antenna,performance parameters,principle analysis of mom and FDTD,etc.Then,the generation of mutual coupling and some methods of decoupling are summarized.Finally,the electromagnetic band gap structure(EBG)is proposed to reduce the coupling.HFSS simulation shows that EBG can reduce the coupling between antenna elements.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)A low coupling antenna based on EBG is constructed.The EBG structure is loaded between two rectangular arrays with a central frequency of 5.3 GHz.When the EBG structure is not loaded between the antennas,the coupling coefficient S12 is-31.6db.When the new EBG structure is loaded,the coupling coefficient S12 is-43.33db,and the coupling is reduced by 11.73db,which proves the feasibility of decoupling the structure.(2)Another EBG structure is constructed,which is loaded into a 2 × 2 four element antenna array.By comparing the influence of different arrangement modes of the structure on the coupling degree of the antenna array,the best arrangement mode is selected.Finally,the simulation results of HFSS show that the coupling degree of the antenna is reduced by 4.2db after loading the EBG structure,which shows the effect of reducing the coupling of the EBG structure.
