Design And Development Of Microstrip Patch Antenna Based On 4G LTE Small Base Station

This article aims to design a multiple-band base-station antenna for 4G communications.In the study,we make patch array micro strip patch antenna as a design prototype,combine with the customer organization and electrical performance requirements,and through the software simulation,complete the design by the combination of theory and practice.Firstly,according to the customer's requirement,we propose a kind of micro strip array antenna with reflector as the overall design framework.We use 1/4 wavelength of impedance matcher to realize the match between the patch and the micro strip in order to increase the bandwidth of the antenna and do a series of theoretical analysis and practical verificationSecondly,in order to optimize the antenna performance parameters and meet the requirements of customer applications.We use software HFSS from ansoft company to simulate the mechanism design model,the results of the simulation parameters are analyzed and the structural design of the antenna is optimized step by step,and then get the optimal design scheme.Again,we made the physical antenna according to the finished design,and measured in an microwave anechoic chamber.The test parameters such as radiation efficiency,return loss,gain and so on are in accordance with the design requirements of the base station antenna in the early stage of the development,and are consistent with the theoretical simulation results.Finally,in view of the cost considerations and ease of mass production,we adopt a molding design for the antenna radiation and micro strip transmission line,Meanwhile,we conducted a series of reliability verification to ensure products are used in the client normally.In short,the LTE base station antenna design which are different from the competitors with its excellent electrical performance and institutional design has been recognized by customers,have an objective market value.
