Based on the sample collection and research of the reports of?The Wall Street Journal?and? The New York Times?on the "Huawei incident",the paper uses the framework theory as the theoretical basis and uses Zang Guoren's high, medium and low-level structure theory to analyze the two media's reporting framework on the "Huawei incident".The high-level structural framework analyzes the number of reports, topics and attitudes of the two media, the middle-level structural framework analyzes the constituent elements in the process of major events, previous events, history, results, impacts, attribution and evaluation, and the low-level structural framework analyzes and studies the use of news headlines, keywords and words in news texts. After that,I used the method of case analysis to compare the?The Wall Street Journal?and? The New York Time?to sort out the reporting framework of the two key points in the development process of the "Huawei incident"-the "Meng Wanzhou Arrest" and the "US Promulgation of Huawei Ban".The study found that there are the following similarities in the reports of the"Huawei incident":the fluctuation rules of the number of reports are the same and both change with the development rules of the incident; The reports with Huawei as the main body mainly highlight the negative impact on it.At the same time, the use of words highlights Huawei's threat to the United States. The reports with the United States as the main body mainly highlight the U.S.approach.Both of them have the same concerns on this incident and pay more attention to the later impact(including impact and results)of the incident, but seldom involve the earlier content(history and background). In addition, the two reporting frameworks also have their own characteristics:?The New York Times?reports are more international and overall.?The Wall Street Journal?reports pay more attention to economic topics.?The Wall Street Journal?used sharp words, pointed to the pain points, and expressed its attitude simply and clearly. The words used in?The New York Times?are relatively mild and the expression of attitude is hidden. The keynote of the report before and after? The Wall Street Journal?has obviously changed. The keynote of the report before and after? The New York Times?has not changed much and basically remains the same. The reporting framework of both reflects the characteristics of the mainstream media in the United States and the media itself. On the surface, although the two reflect the objective reporting principle as much as possible, from the overall trend of reporting, the two still stand in the position of the United States.
