Research On Problems And Countermeasures In The Sustainable Development Of City Study In Yangzhou

Library is a significant symbol of the progressing social civilization and also a main place for social education.Being the source of knowledge that inspires the wisdom of the people and transmits culture,library has been an important part of the public cultural service system.In today's world,library has been a major place for cultural exchange,knowledge sharing and idea transmission.As a palace of knowledge,library has been developed into an indispensable spiritual homeland of the masses.The Chinese government has made "advocating nation-wide reading and building a literary society" as an important deployment to realize "revitalization of the country via cultural development".The library is an important public cultural institution,which is shouldered with a critical mission of inheriting history,carrying forward civilization,and building a bright future.It also plays an important role in providing the equal access to public cultural services and satisfying the masses' growing spiritual and cultural needs.In recent years,public library has resorted to a brand-new mode to build the self-help public urban reading space-city study-with regional characteristics.As a participant of nationwide reading,the author hopes that this research can promote the sustainable development of city study in Yangzhou,and boost the progress of public cultural services.In recent years,Yangzhou Municipal Committee and Government have joined hands with the Yangzhou Municipal Library to comprehensively build the "Literary Yangzhou".24-hour city study have been set up in the most prosperous urban areas that are closest to citizens.These reading space have become the spiritual landmarks of this historical city.With the theory of public product,sustainable development and service-oriented government as the theoretical basis,this paper comprehensively clarifies the development process of city study.To start with,the achievements of Yangzhou in city study construction are summarized.Specifically,a public library service system that integrating city,county,town,and village regional division has taken shape,which has effectively improved the service functions of the grassroots public cultural construction,satisfied the citizens'growing demand for public cultural products,bettered the relationship between the government and citizens,and facilitated the construction of the service-oriented government.Following that,the problems existing in sustainable development of city study are analyzed,including inadequate internal driving force,lack of diverse operation subjects,lack of advertising efforts,lack of culture with local characteristics,and lack of precise orientation of services.Through literature review,field survey,and collection of network data,this paper analyzes the causes behind these problems,comparatively studies the experience obtains by other cities in city study construction,and proposes countermeasures.These countermeasures to promote the sustainable development of city study in Yangzhou include encouraging participation of social capitals in city study construction,expanding the scope of reading room operation subjects;strengthening advertising and promotion of city study;deeply integrating local cultural characteristics;improving precise services of reading rooms,and seeking a more reasonable and complete development pattern for city study in Yangzhou's future construction.
