A Study On The Construction Of Collective Memory Of Disaster Events Under The Visual Threshold Of Media

The relationship between media and memory can be regarded as the extension of memory research in the field of media as well as the expansion of media research into memory research.Memory,not only exists in the natural sciences,but also in the field of humanities.The reason is that for individuals,memory is not only the understanding of their own experience,but also the cognition and exploration of the self;The collective memory involves a wider range,which involves not only the group's memory of social history and culture,but also the erosion,accumulation and replacement of human civilization in a long historical river.Media Subthreshold memory Research is a New outburst in traditional memory ResearchBreak it.The focus of the research on collective memory of disaster events under the media vision is not to judge whether the collective memory of two disaster events constructed by the media is better or worse.Instead,it focuses on the difference and influence of the mechanism of collective memory generation in the construction of two disaster events by the media.Collective memory is not only influenced by subjective and objective factors,but also plays an important role in the process of its construction.As a "recorder of history",the media,by virtue of the control of the right to speak,through the writing of disaster events,It has become an indispensable carrier for the construction of collective memory of disaster events.The Tangshan earthquake is called "one of the great disasters of human history in the20 th century".Wenchuan earthquake is the most destructive earthquake since the founding of the people's Republic of China,and it is also the deadliest one after the Tangshan earthquake.The disaster caused a great shock to the public.This paper takes two disaster event reports as the research object,considers the path of People's Daily's construction of disaster event from the point of view of collective memory,and explores the construction of disaster event collective memory by means of content analysis and discourse analysis.The strategy and value of People's Daily in the construction of collective memory of disaster events are obtained,so as to guide the media to construct collective memory in the future.The main body of the thesis includes three aspects: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction explains the origin and significance of the research,the related research summary,research problems,theoretical basis and definition of related Concepts,researchideas and methods as well as innovation.The text consists of four chapters.The first and second chapters study the problem of "how to construct collective memory" at different levels,and discuss how the media constructed different collective memory in the two earthquakes.The first chapter uses the content analysis method to study how the media construct the disaster event collective memory from the macro-dimension.From the perspective of discourse,the second chapter analyzes how the media use discourse to construct collective memory of disaster events and discourse construction.What's the difference? The last two chapters focus on the construction factor,construction strategy and construction value.The third chapter analyzes how politics,economy,culture,civil rights consciousness and media itself influence the collective memory of disaster events.The fourth chapter is composed of two sections.The first part analyzes the strategies used by the media to construct and reconstruct the collective memory of disaster events,and explores which strategies are worth continuing use and which need to be improved in the future writing.In order to provide reference for the future.The second part analyzes the media construction disaster event collective memory in the national identity,the subject memory,the ideology and the nationality.The value and significance of cohesion.Finally,this paper argues that the collective memory of the two disaster events has the characteristics of "similarities and differences" and "differences in existence",and looks forward to the future of the media's construction of collective memory of disaster events.
