| Recent years witnessed the growth of server market while the supply side faces unprecedented pressure on the shortened lead-time.Meanwhile,one successful bid always means tens or even hundreds of thousands parts demand.Large orders are good to business,but non-compliance ones are not since they will break the smooth operation into mess.So how to mitigate the risk of large orders to improve both the service level and efficiency while reducing the cost becomes the key success factor of server manufacturers.With D company as the background,this paper firstly maps the current status of large order and its impact on the supply chain,secondly ranks the supply chain risk related with large order with the identification from both supply and demand perspective and thirdly provides solutions for prioritized risks including process reengineering,optimization for safety stock and transshipment to optimize the large order supply chain,thus minimize the risk of supply chain brought by large orders especially non-compliance large. |
