Robot is the forefront of information technology development,which integrates a number of disciplines knowledge and many development results of contemporary technology,it contains an extremely rich educational resources.Education robot is the expansion development in education field,it is a reasonable means for cultivating innovative talents.The multifunctional education robot researched in this paper can be used as teaching aids at classroom for students' robot teaching.It also used in various kinds of robot extracurricular activities or robot competitions,it has great application and educational value in the robot teaching.Firstly,the paper analyzes the user's needs and defines the overall plan of the education robot.The education robot platform is divided into three parts: the mechanical system,the hardware system and the software system.With a combination use of three parts can realize the function of educational robot.Secondly,the paper designs and implements functions of the mechanical system and hardware system.Using building blocks to build mechanical structures and selecting suitable sensor and motor for system.Hardware system design by modular,it select ARM as control chip.The hardware circuit consist of power supply circuit,motor circuit,minimum system circuit and external interface circuit.Thirdly,the paper adopts uCOS real time system as the embedded platform,which improves the stability and real-time performance of the system.The system transplants USB and FatFs file system,which build a SPI-FLASH storage medium for program download,it use the serial port screen to increase the interaction between student and robot,The embedded system apply a serial to WiFi module to achieve real-time monitoring of the host computer.The system using string analysis methods and C-like code to achieve unity code of MCU software and PC software.Finally,it takes an experiment test and has an example analysis for application expandof the robot.Experiment result shows that the mechanical system design is reasonable,the hardware system design is feasible,the software system design is efficient,and the robot realized the scheduled function.The multifunctional education robot designed in this paper compares with the existing products on the market,it adopts the 32-bit ARM with faster processing speed as the control chip to complete more functions.The serial port screen module displays rich human-computer interface to improve the interest of the robot.
