The integration of information technology subjects with STEAM education is in line with the current requirements for the development of information technology in education,and a search of the relevant literature reveals that there is little research on STEAM education combined with the teaching of information technology courses in high schools,leaving much room for extension.Therefore,the focus of this study is to consider how to effectively implement STEAM teaching activities in the technical,comprehensive and operational high school IT classroom,so that it can lead students to look at problems,analyze them and solve them with an integrated and comprehensive perspective.Based on this,we consider the integration of STEAM education into senior secondary IT curriculum from the perspective of "teaching process",with the intention of helping students to enhance their interest in learning and develop innovative and problem-solving skills.Firstly,the literature on STEAM education and the teaching of IT courses in senior secondary schools was reviewed using the literature research method to provide theoretical support for the construction of the teaching process;then field research was conducted in the internship school to locate the problems and envisage solutions by interviewing IT teachers and observing the classroom teaching activities of teachers and students,so as to further clarify the design direction of the teaching process.Then,drawing on the findings of previous research and studies,the teaching process based on STEAM education was constructed and interpreted.Before implementing the teaching activities,the content of the senior secondary IT curriculum was analyzed for suitability,and the parts suitable for STEAM teaching activities were selected and taught.Finally,changes in the three areas of interest in learning,creativity and problemsolving ability of the same subjects(students)before and after the teaching practice were measured and analyzed through questionnaires,classroom observation scales and test papers.After comprehensive analysis,the following conclusions were drawn: the designed teaching process is feasible,and the application of STEAM education-based teaching process in senior secondary IT courses can improve students' interest in learning and develop their innovation and problem-solving skills.
