In the era of knowledge economy with the rapid development of digital high technology, the cultivation of innovative talents has brought about a transformative impact on education, especially the higher requirements for information technology education. The STEAM education concept emphasizes the integration and application of interdisciplinary knowledge, which is not only of great significance to the training of innovative talents, but also has an important influence on the innovation of the education concept and teaching method of information technology curriculum in high school. At present, the teaching of information technology in high school emphasizes the imparting of knowledge and skills, and lacks the cultivation of students’ innovative spirit and the application of interdisciplinary thinking to solve practical problems. At the same time, the fragmentation of teaching content is not conducive to students’ systematic learning. The combination of STEAM’s educational philosophy and project-based teaching helps solve these problems. Therefore, the author studies the project teaching design and practice of high school information technology curriculum under the STEAM concept.Firstly, this study uses literature research method to elaborate the research background and significance, research status, research content and methods, core concepts and theoretical basis, etc.,so as to provide theoretical basis for in-depth study of project-based teaching under the STEAM concept.Secondly, from the perspective of practice, the teaching status of information technology courses in high school is investigated.Students’ questionnaire survey and teachers’ interview are adopted to understand the existing problems in teaching and the needs of teachers and students,so as to provide support for the project-style teaching design under the STEAM concept.Thirdly,on the basis of describing the implementation process of STEAM project case, with the new curriculum standard as the background, the program design chapter of the information technology required course "Data and Computing" in ordinary high school is selected for teaching design, which mainly includes three stages of project preparation, implementation and evaluation. Finally,an educational experiment was carried out in a high school in Shulan City and the experimental data were analyzed to verify the effectiveness of project-based teaching under the STEAM concept, and to summarize the effect and significance of the implementation of STEAM project cases on students’ learning,so as to contribute to the wide application of STEAM concept in project-based teaching of information technology courses in high schools.According to the conclusion of high acceptance of project-based teaching under STEAM concept,STEAM project case design and teaching experiment are carried out for information technology courses, and the results of pre and post test papers of students in experimental class and control class and the comprehensive ability scale of students in experimental class are analyzed. Finally,it is concluded that project-based teaching under the STEAM concept plays a significant role in improving teaching effect, helping to improve students’ comprehensive learning ability and better cultivating students’ information literacy.Therefore,project-based teaching under the STEAM concept meets the training needs of national innovative talents and the requirements of high school information technology curriculum standards, which further promotes the teaching reform of high school information technology curriculum. |
