Composition is an important content of learning that cultivates the ability of primary students to express with written language.The learning of composition starts from the second phase of primary education,which is a key period for enhancing interest in composition and cultivating composition skills.The learning task in the second phase shifts to “composition”from “picture description” in the first phase.As primary students in the second phase are puzzled by “what to write” and “how to write”,it is important to offer composition guidance.Composition guidance in the second phase of rural primary education is confronted with severe problems.Therefore,it is of practical significance to investigate the current situation of composition guidance in rural primary school in order to identify problems and explore proper strategies.Through questionnaire research and interviews,this study looks into the problems in composition guidance in the second phase of rural primary school,including the implementation of composition concepts,instructions during composition and the practices of composition evaluation.According to the current situation of Chinese teaching in rural primary school,causes of the problems are analyzed,which concern objective restrictions in the curricular concepts of composition teaching,integration of teaching resources,capability in composition teaching,and professional skills in composition teaching.Based on the current situation of composition guidance in the second phase of rural primary school,strategies on composition guidance are proposed,including aligning the learning goals of composition with academic conditions,developing materials rooted in rural life,innovating training forms to improve professional skills,and stimulating the learning enthusiasm of students with diverse evaluation indicators. |
