Chinese curriculum standards of compulsory education(2011 edition)pointed out that students in Grade3 and Grade4 can observe the world around them and write down their knowledge,feelings and imagination freely and easily.Students are able to write down the things that they are interested in and that are impressive and moving clearly.Writing is an important part of Chinese teaching in primary school and is a comprehensive reflection of the student’s ability of words,sentences,texts,listening,speaking,reading and writing.The composition of Grade 3 students in primary school plays an important role in the whole process of composition teaching and learning.Grade 3 is the initial writing stage into which the Students have just entered.Compared to Grade 1 and Grade 2,the requirements of the composition writing are higher.So a lot of students will be afraid of writing.They may feel confused about how to start writing,what to write and how to write.As a result,how to teach students in Grade3 to write good composition is a big problem in the primary school composition teaching.To solve the problem,the researchers carried out the related research and wrote this paper.This paper adopted literature research.The writer referred to professional books,periodicals,books and literature that are related to the composition teaching methods in primary school Grade 3.The writer analyzed the current domestic and foreign research situation of composition teaching of Grade 3,which provided the theoretical and empirical support for the this research.In teaching practice,the writer adopted the method of observation.The writer observed the teachers how to effectively select materials according to the content of the paper in the composition teaching.The writer observed the teacher how to solve the problems in writing and teaching environment in classroom.The writer also observed the performance of the students in class and assignments.The writer understood the present writing teaching situations and the problem-related reasons of Grade 3.The writer looked for the best method to guide students’ writing.The writer rethought the deficiency in the writing teaching with the method of case analysis of teaching.The writer constantly summed up experience and the writer found out the best guidance of the starting composition method through analysis,discussion and practice in Grade 3 to lay the foundation for the first line of composition teaching.This paper analyzed the present situations of Grade 3 composition of primary school from two aspects of teachers and the causes of these situations.From the perspective of students and teachers,the researchers put forward guidance countermeasures in the teaching practice through investigation,analysis,discussion and explored how to solve the problems in the composition teaching.The application of the guidance strategies in the teaching not only pointed out the direction in the composition teaching,but also inspired the students’ interest in writing to improve the students’ writing levels.This paper has laid a solid foundation for forming the habits of observing the life,consciously accumulating materials for writing and happily expressing their own feelings.The composition guiding methods make the teachers have the law and rules in the teaching practice and the students are no longer afraid of writing,but regard the writing as the needs of life and learning.It improves the students’ writing.Although some researchers explore the harvest,how to improve the class efficiency and develop student’s initiative on this issue needs further consideration and exploration.
