"Model construction and application" is one of the most important research methods in physics,and it is also one of the core discipline characteristics of physics."index.The evaluation research of physical modeling ability has gradually attracted the attention of Chinese physics education researchers in recent years,but the division of physical modeling ability in related research is not clear.Therefore,this study attempts to use modern measurement theory to compile a measurement tool for high school students' physical modeling ability based on SOLO theory,hoping to evaluate students' physical modeling ability more objectively and accurately,and provide a reference for modeling ability teaching.This research mainly carried out the following work:(1)Define the core concept "physical modeling ability" based on traditional modeling theory and related literature,and draw lessons from SOLO theory and "General High School Physics Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)" to divide the level of physical modeling ability,and build a physical modeling ability.Model ability assessment framework.(2)Based on the physical modeling ability evaluation framework,screen the national college entrance examination questions for adaptation,develop physical modeling ability measurement tools,and determine test questions and scoring standards.(3)Through two rounds of small sample tests,the Rasch model was used to analyze the indicators of the measurement tools,and at the same time,the measurement tools were tested and optimized based on the oral reports of some of the students tested,so as to obtain highquality high school students' physical modeling ability Measuring tools.(4)Use measurement tools to implement large sample tests,and collect oral reports from some subjects.Combine qualitative and quantitative research to analyze the current situation and reasons for differences in the physical modeling ability of high school students.(5)On this basis,try to optimize the traditional modeling teaching mode based on mental model theory,build a modeling teaching mode based on mental model,and design specific teaching cases.Research indicates:(1)The physical modeling ability measurement tool for high school students constructed by the research has good performance indicators,but the setting of "anchor questions" has not fully achieved the expected effect.(2)The average level of high school students' physical modeling ability is in the middle level.The overall physical modeling ability of the tested students was roughly distributed normally,and mainly concentrated in Level 2 and Level 3,indicating that the students were basically able to capture key information in the problem situation to construct a physical model,characterize it with physical formulas,and use the questions.By doing information testing and perfecting the model,it can perform mathematical calculations of a certain degree of difficulty to obtain results and solve problems smoothly.Few students reach level 4,which means that in complex situations or when two or more model situations are involved,most students cannot correctly construct the connection between different models,the application of the model is not discussed comprehensively,and there is a lack of analysis and analysis.Test ability.(3)There are significant differences in the distribution of physical modeling ability among high school students of different grades.The proportion of students in the third grade in the level 2,level 3 and level 4 is higher than that in the first and second grade.The proportion of students reaching Level 2 and Level 3 in the first year is slightly higher than that in the second year.There were no students in either the first or second year of high school who reached level4.(4)There are significant differences in the distribution of physical modeling abilities of high school students in different levels of schools.The proportion of students in the second grade in the school with a better level is significantly higher than that in the school with a lower level,and there is no significant difference in the distribution of physical modeling ability between the first and third grades of the schools with different levels.(5)The physical modeling teaching mode based on the mental model theory is constructed,which is feasible from the theoretical level,but the specific practical operation needs to allocate the time of each link to avoid overtime.
