Big data,artificial intelligence,robots,cloud computing and other technologies have developed rapidly.Information technology literacy has become the basic skills of future people,and innovative and complex talents have become important national competitiveness.In this context,information technology courses are particularly important.However,information technology courses are on the edge of the school because of exam-oriented education,and students themselves lack interest in information technology.Under this background,how to make the information technology curriculum go to the center of the school stage? How to improve students' information technology discipline quality through information technology classroom? How to make students fall in love with information technology,turn passive learning into active learning,and realize the dual value of technology learning and application? STEAM education and problem-situation teaching provide an idea.STEAM education takes interdisciplinary as its core characteristics,and has nine characteristics including fun,experience,context,collaboration,design,artistry,empirical and technical enhancement.STEAM education concept is integrated into the information technology classroom to create an effective problem situation chain.First,it can provide technical support for other disciplines;second,it can be combined with the real life of students,and students change from passive learning to active learning;third,promote students from technology to Thinking ability grows.Based on this,the main research contents of this article are as follows: First,the theoretical research part,reviewing,combing and summarizing the theoretical foundations of STEAM education,problem situations,STEAM teaching mode,information technology courses;followed by the model design and case development part,analyzing STEAM On the basis of classic teaching cases,junior middle school information technology courses and interdisciplinary content,the design goals,principles and framework of the problem situation teaching model based on STEAM are proposed,and the elements are designed in detail.Based on this,teaching cases and student learning are developed The final part is the teaching practice part.The experimental experiment and the control class are used to conduct comparative experiments.Through pre-and post-test data analysis of the student questionnaires,qualitative interviews are conducted with teachers and experimental students to analyze the teaching experience of teachers on the teaching model.And student acceptance and recognition.The experimental results show that the STEAM-based problem situation teaching model in this research is generally feasible and effective,and can increase students' interest in information technology courses,cultivate students' information literacy,computational thinking,problem solving,and interdisciplinary thinking ability.
