In the information age,the reform of basic education is imperative,among which improving teaching idea and renewing teaching method become the key point of the reform of basic education.At the beginning of the "fourteenth Five-year Plan",education informatization has entered a new journey.A series of policies made by the state stipulate that the main task of education is to cultivate students’ comprehensive quality and various abilities.STEAM,as a new educational concept,provides a new way of thinking for the reform of basic education in China,and is of great significance to the development of Chinese society and the cultivation of comprehensive talents.Problem-oriented learning is one of the commonly used teaching modes in China’s education.This mode relies on problems and students acquire knowledge by solving problems,which meets the current demand for talent cultivation.Under the guidance of learning activity theory,situational cognition theory,multiple intelligence theory,constructivism theory and other relevant theories,the problem-oriented learning activity model under STEAM concept is constructed by literature research method,questionnaire survey method,experimental research method and interview method.Based on the model,junior middle school information technology learning activities are designed and applied to educational practice.The main contents of this study are as follows: Firstly,it is about theoretical research,summarizing the research status of problem-oriented learnin,STEAM education and learning activities at home and abroad,defining relevant concepts,and analyzing the theoretical basis and existing classical models;Secondly,learning activity model construction and learning activity design.Based on the analysis of the classical model,the traditional problem-oriented learning mode is changed,and the principle of problem-oriented learning activity model construction under the STEAM concept is proposed,and the problem-oriented learning activity model under the guidance of the principle is constructed.On the basis of this,junior middle school information technology learning activities are designed.The last part is teaching practice.In order to verify the effectiveness of the model and design of the learning activity,two classes were selected as experimental classes and control classes for experimentation,and students were tested before and after and teachers and students were interviewed to obtain the experimental results of this study.The experimental results show that the problem-oriented learning activities under the STEAM concept in this study have achieved good practical effects on the whole,which can improve students’ interest in information technology courses and improve their problem-solving ability.
