China and Japan have a long history of exchange.Today,in the era of globalization with peace and development as the world theme,Sino-Japanese relations are turbulent,and affect the development of the world situation.As the builders of the future country,middle school students must form a correct understanding of Japan and Sino-Japanese relations in order to promote the national construction and the sound development of Sino-Japanese relations.Middle school history textbooks are the mainstream knowledge medium that shape students' historical cognition.And its writing of Japanese history influences Chinese students ' cognition of Japan greatly.Therefore,the study of writing of Japanese history in middle school history textbooks is of great significance.The research mainly includes the following contents:The first part is a general introduction of Chinese middle school history textbooks since the reform and opening-up,including the overview of its development,the characteristics of the content structure,and the classification statistics of the content of Japanese history.Since the reform and opening-up,the compilation of Chinese middle school history textbooks has made constant progress in the reform of middle school history curriculum.It has three characteristics in content setting.First,the proportion of Chinese history is greater than that of world history.Second,the content changes from focusing on political history to basically balancing the distribution of political history,economic history and cultural history.Third,the content involves a wide range of countries and regions,and focus on developed capitalist countries.Based on the above background,the classification statistic of Japanese history in Chinese middle school history textbooks since Reform and opening-up follows the historical sequence of ancient history,modern history,and contemporary history.And it's also carried out from the perspectives of Japan in Chinese history and Japan in world history.The second part is an analysis of the writing of Japanese history in Chinese middle school history textbooks since the reform and opening-up.For Japan in Chinese history,it mainly includes three aspects.The first is the friendly exchanges and military frictions between China and Japan in ancient times.The second is the contradictions and confrontations between China and Japan in modern times.The third is the normalization of Sino-Japanese relations in contemporary times.For Japan in world history,it also includes three aspects.The first is Japan,which moved towards centralization in ancient times.The second is Japan,which moved towards capitalism in modern times.The third is Japan,which warred for profit in contemporary times.The third part is the analysis and summary of the images of Japan constructed in Chinese middle school history textbooks since the reform and opening-up.The images of japan in Chinese history textbooks can be analyzed from the aspects of politics,economy,culture,diplomacy,etc.In terms of the economic images,the textbooks construct the images of Japan as a dependant on the foreign economy and a capitalist economic power.In terms of the political images,the textbooks construct the images of Japan as a capitalist country with strong feudalism and a pursuer of political powers.In terms of the cultural images,the textbooks construct the images of Japan as a learner of Chinese and western culture and a communicator of western civilization.In terms of the diplomatic images,the textbooks construct the images of Japan as a friendly neighboring country of China,a brutal invader,an interferer in Chinese internal affairs and an American ally or opponent.The fourth part is the analysis of the change trends and influencing factors of Japanese history writing in Chinese middle school history textbooks since the reform and opening-up.Three trends can be summarized from Japanese history writing.First,the content of Japanese history accounts for a large proportion.Although it shows a downward trend as a whole,it has rebounded at present.Second,the selection of the content of Japanese history shows a trend of increase of modern and contemporary history content and a trend of focusing on a certain type of content.Third,the writing of the content of Japanese history shows that the conciseness of language,the scientificity of presentation and the enlightenment of content organization are enhancing.The reasons lie in the change and development of international status and national relations,domestic conditions and international situation,curriculum objectives and educational philosophy.The fifth part is the suggestions of Japanese history writing in Chinese middle school history textbooks,including understanding Japanese history from the perspective of globalization,increasing the content of Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges in contemporary history,and exerting the value of the discipline of learning from history.
