With the continuous development of social economy,knowledge has become a crucial element in the process of social development.The competition of human capital has become the main body of knowledge economy competition in each country.At the same time,graduate education has gradually changed from the expansion of scale to the improvement of quality,from the single expansion of quantity to the improvement of quality and the quality of human capital.As an important part of higher education,graduate education is the main source of innovation in higher education and plays a strategic role in the competition of human capital.This study with a master's graduate matriculate quality as the breakthrough point,on the basis of the human capital theory,theory of student development,using statistical analysis method,systematically analyze the differences in academic performance of graduate students in different disciplines.,explore a postgraduate students training results in different disciplines the characteristics and law of the relevant research findings and conclusions,And through the interview method to analyze the reasons behind the differences,constructive thinking,in order to provide some basis and reference for graduate student recruitment units or recruitment policies.Through the descriptive analysis and difference test of the two kinds of students,the research results show that the two kinds of students exist in the differences of basic professional knowledge,knowledge acquisition ability and scientific research innovation ability.The reason behind it is mainly due to the influence of related factors such as students' idiosynthesis difference,discipline attribute difference and system selection difference.In this regard,we should pay attention to the individual characteristics of students,take students as the center,truly teach students in accordance with their aptitude,meet the students love innovation and research,unified examination students love hard work,to provide them with multi-dimensional learning guidance,to promote the all-round development of students.We should pay more attention to the differences of disciplines,respect the development rules of different disciplines,and increase or decrease the proportion of students who are eligible for admission or exemption according to the development needs of disciplines.In order to ensure the quality of higher education,colleges and universities should pay attention to the construction of the system of promotion and exemption,respect the fairness of education,strengthen the characteristics of their own postgraduate training,guide candidates to rationally apply for the examination,properly coordinate the ratio of recruitment,promotion and exemption and unified examination,and consider the issue of education fairness.The conclusion of this study shows that although there are significant differences in academic performance between the exempt students and the unified examination students,they do have their own advantages.Therefore,as a way of postgraduate enrollment selection in China,the system of promotion and exemption is advanced and reasonable to some extent,but it also has some shortcomings.Therefore,for the present,the exemption system is a useful supplement to the national unified examination system,and should be appropriately advocated to escort the postgraduate admission system together with the general unified examination.
