Junior high school students are in a critical period of physical and ment al development,mental health growth is a topic of general concern to the whole society.As far as academic achievement is concerned,it is also the focus of attention from schools,families and society.We know that there are many dimensions of parenting style of junior high school students,but whether it can predict students’ academic performance in different dimensions is a problem worthy of discussion.However,whether the two are related or regressive is related to many factors.Therefore,this paper focuses on the direct or indirect relationship between parenting style and academic achievement of junior high school students,takes academic emotion and learning self-control as mediating variables,and deeply analyzes the influence of these two mediating variables on parenting style and academic achievement,so as to put forward appropriate education suggestions.In this paper,600 students from an ordinary junior high school in Taizhou C ity,Jiangsu Province were tested and counted by using the s-embu-c revised by Jiang Zhen et al.(2010),the self-control scale of junior high school students compiled by Lu Jiamei and Wang Hongjiao,and the Academic Emotion questionnaire of teenagers compiled by Dong Yan and Yu Guoliang.The main results are as follows:1.There are significant differences in parental rearing patterns in age,place of origin and grade.In general,it adopts a positive way.2.There are more positive emotions than negative emotions in junior high school students.There are significant differences in gender,place of origin and grade.3.There are significant differences in the self-control of junior middle school students in gender and grade.4.As far as the correlation analysis is concerned,except that there is no significant correlatio n between parental overprotection and academic achievement,other factors are significantly correlated.All dimensions of Academic Emotion and self-control were significantly correlated with academic achievement.5.In regression analysis,positive parenting styles can positively predict academic performance,while negative parenting styles can.Negative academic emotions negatively predict academic achievement.The higher the self-control,the higher the academic achievement.6.As far as simple mediating is concerned,academic emotion and self-control have mediating effects on parenting style and students’ academic performance.According to different directions,it can be divided into partial mediation and complete mediation.7.There is a chain mediating effect between Academic Emotion and self-control,that is,parental rearing style plays a role in academic emotion,Academic Emotion predicts self-control,and self-control further predicts academic achievement.In view of this,this paper tries to put forward some educational suggestions,such as improving the parenting style,teaching students to control their academic emotions,cultivating students’ self-control,and treating their academic achievements rationally. |
