| Academic procrastination is a common negative behavior among students.According to statistics,one third of middle school students in China have academic procrastination.In a study of 1,972 teenagers,it was found that 39% of students showed procrastination in homework and 69.8% in planning academic tasks.Academic procrastination will not only cause exam anxiety,classroom anxiety and other problems,but also lead to the emergence of Internet addiction and other bad problems,which is undoubtedly a serious obstacle to the healthy development of teenagers,therefore,academic procrastination behavior due to its universality and harm gradually attracted social attention.According to self-determination theory,family environment,parents’ psychological control possible and there is close relationship between academic procrastination,and studies have confirmed this view,because the family is a complex system,at present about parents psychological control and the relationship between academic procrastination is unclear and differences,therefore,more empirical studies are needed to clear the relations between the two.According to the emotional value theory(control-value theory and cognitive-motivation theory),the environment can affect individual behavior through emotion,and there may be a close relationship between the three.Therefore,based on the investigation of the current situation of academic procrastination in junior high school students,this study further clarified the relationship between parental psychological control and academic procrastination,explored the mechanism of academic emotion between the two,and explored ways and methods to reduce academic procrastination in junior high school students.In view of this,this research adopts the "teenage parents psychological control questionnaire","youth academic emotions scale" and "the middle school students’ academic procrastination scale" as a measurement tool,to nanning xin district,Liang Qing area,green area,and with five high school junior middle school students was measured in shanglin,three school for city,two for rural schools,a total of 732 junior middle school students in school,The results are as follows:(1)There are significant differences in gender,grade and demographic variables of junior middle school students’ academic procrastination.The degree of academic procrastination of boys is higher than that of girls.There is no significant difference in academic procrastination between grade 8 and grade 9,but it is higher than grade 7.The degree of academic procrastination of rural students is higher than that of urban students.(2)Both paternal psychological control and maternal psychological control have positive predictive effects on academic procrastination of junior middle school students;(3)High positive arousal and low positive arousal were negatively correlated with academic procrastination,while high negative arousal and low negative arousal were positively correlated with academic procrastination.(4)In the academic emotion dimension,negative and low arousal played a complete mediating role between paternal psychological control and maternal psychological control and academic procrastination;Positive low arousal(46.49%)and negative high arousal(13.60%)played a partial mediating role in fathers’ psychological control and academic procrastination,respectively.Positive low arousal(48.39%)and negative high arousal(14.51%)also played a part mediating role between mother’s psychological control and academic procrastination.Based on the above research results,the educational suggestions of this study are put forward:(1)Reduce the level of parental psychological control,reduce junior high school students academic procrastination;(2)Enhance the emotion regulation ability of junior high school students,improve the positive academic emotion,reduce the negative academic emotion,reduce the academic procrastination of junior high school students;(3)Strengthen home-school cooperation and reduce academic procrastination of junior high school students. |
