The Influence Of Parenting Style On The Academic Achievement Of Professional Sports Postgraduates:The Mediating Role Of Academic Self Efficacy | | Posted on:2022-02-23 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:J X Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2507306524464564 | Subject:Physical Education Teaching | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Academic achievement is one of the important bases for appraising students’ learning ability.The purpose of this study is to explore the influence and interaction mechanism of parenting style on the academic performance of P.E.postgraduates with professional degree through academic self-efficacy,and to provide reference for improving the academic performance of P.E.postgraduates with professional degree.By using parenting style questionnaire and academic self-efficacy scale,this paper investigates the professional degree P.E.Postgraduates of grade 2017 and 2018,and comprehensively analyzes the academic performance of professional degree P.E.postgraduates through difference,correlation,regression analysis and intermediary effect test.The results areas follows:(1)The parenting styles of Sports Postgraduates are different in gender,grade,only child or not,parents’ educational level and occupation.The difference between male and female students is greater than that of female students;The difference of parents’ education mode between 2017 and 2018 PE master’s degree is obvious;The difference of parents’ education mode between the only child and the non only child PE master’s degree is greater;The education mode of parents with the following primary school education level is higher than that of the master of physical education with major degree above University(College).(2)There are differences in grades and parents’ education level,but no differences in gender,only child or not and occupation.(3)The emotional intimacy support of parents’ parenting style positively predicts the academic performance of Sports Postgraduates.Father’s severe punishment,father’s excessive intervention,father’s veto,mother’s excessive care intervention,mother’s veto and mother’s severe punishment negatively predict the academic performance of Sports Postgraduates.(4)In the sense of academic self-efficacy,learning ability and learning behavior positively predict the academic performance of Sports Postgraduates.(5)Parental emotional intimacy support positively predicted the academic self-efficacy of Sports Postgraduates.Father’s severe punishment,father’s veto,mother’s veto and mother’s severe punishment negatively predict the learning ability of sports graduate students.Father’s excessive intervention,father’s protection of subjects and father’s excessive care intervention negatively predict the learning behavior of Sports Postgraduates.(6)The self-efficacy of PE Postgraduates has some mediating effect on parents’ education style and academic achievement. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Academic achievement, Parenting style, Academic self efficacy, Profes sional degree, Master of physical education | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
