A hundred-year plan,education-oriented;education-oriented,teacher-oriented.As an important part of teachers,senior high school teachers play an irreplaceable role in educational reform.Whether high school teachers can be qualified as teachers is directly related to the growth of teachers and students,the development of education and the future of the country.Therefore,it is not only helpful to understand the existing problems and causes of high school teachers' competence,but also to improve the level of high school teachers' competence and promote the professional development of high school teachers.On the basis of above analysis and the relevant research results at home and abroad,this study discusses the current situation,existing problems,causes of problems and improvement strategies of senior high school teachers.This study investigated the teachers of four ordinary high schools in Q and P counties of Shandong Province and collected 510 valid teacher questionnaires by questionnaire and conducted semi-structured interviews with 6 high school teachers,3 high school students and3 high school administrators.It is found that the overall performance of high school teachers' competence is general.From the perspective of each dimension of high school teachers' competence,high school teachers perform best in the dimension of personal characteristics,followed by mental health,and generally in the dimension of professional ethics and teaching ability.At present,there are still some problems in the competence of high school teachers,which are manifested in the lack of firm grasp of professional knowledge,incomplete understanding of students' basic situation,weak teaching ability and poor self-emotional control ability.Learning consciousness is weak,learning action is slow;scientific concept is lacking,teaching experience is insufficient;training pertinence is not strong,school management concept is backward;teachers psychological burden of teachers is heavy,incentive measures are not in place is the main factor restricting the improvement of high school teachers' competence.Finally,the author puts forward the following suggestions for the effective promotion of high school teachers' competence: to strengthen learning consciousness,to enhance learning action,to establish scientific teaching concept and to strengthen the accumulation of teaching experience;effectively improve the training mechanism,update the school management concept;strengthen teachers psychological guidance,provide reliable and favorable protection.
