With the rapid development of Chinese in the world,Chinese teaching in Thailand has also made remarkable achievements.At present,Chinese education in Thailand has been incorporated into the whole national education system.However,at this stage,the shortage of Chinese teachers in Thailand is still the key factor hindering the development of Chinese teaching in Thailand.In this case,the cultivation of local Chinese teachers has become an effective way to make up for the teacher gap and realize the sustainable development of Chinese.Native Chinese teacher refers to the native place and living place are in the same place,and engaged in Chinese teaching profession.How to cultivate local Chinese teachers,improve their Chinese level,improve teachers’ professional knowledge,and make them become the main body of international Chinese teachers,and how to achieve this goal is the focus of the development of international Chinese teaching.Based on the author’s nine month Chinese teaching practice in Thailand,this paper,starting from the macro survey of Thai Chinese teachers,investigates the basic personal situation,professional knowledge,teaching situation and training situation of native Chinese teachers in primary and secondary schools in Thailand by questionnaire and interview,and probes into the current situation of native Chinese teachers in primary and secondary schools in Thailand,and probes into the current situation of native Chinese teachers in primary and secondary schools in Thailand,and combines the literature to investigate the current situation of native Chinese teachers in Thailand The author analyzes the shortcomings of Chinese teachers in China,and finds that there are the following shortcomings: the imbalance of teachers’ structure,the unclear teaching objectives and contents,the single teaching methods,the lack of training programs and the weak knowledge structure of teachers.Finally,combined with the actual situation in Thailand,some feasible suggestions are put forward to Thai government,Thai schools and teachers themselves: Thai government can strengthen the training of local teachers,improve the standards of teachers’ identification,improve salary and pay,and develop distance education;Thai schools can carry out school-based training,establish cross regional teacher cooperation mechanism,reasonably arrange teachers’ workload,and establish teacher education The system of learning evaluation;teachers should enhance their learning consciousness,strengthen the professional knowledge of Chinese,pay attention to the combination of theory and practice,learn to use various teaching methods and actively participate in training.The purpose of this paper is to determine the development direction of the local Chinese teachers and promote the sound development of Chinese teaching in Thailand by investigating the current situation and problems of the native Chinese teachers in primary and secondary schools in Thailand.
