With the enhancement of China’s national strength,the economic and cultural exchange between China and Thailand are getting closer and closer.At present,with the rapid development of Chinese teaching in Thailand,Chinese has become the second foreign language after English.Therefore,the governments of various regions in Thailand attach great importance to Chinese teaching.More and more schools have opened Chinese courses in early childhood,primary school and high school,and Samutsakhon province is no exception.In recent years,many Chinese people have come to our province to do business,which makes the government of Samutsakhon province realize the importance of Chinese.But at present,with the rapid development of children’s Chinese education,there are many problems and difficulties,such as the shortage of teachers,teachers’ lack of sufficient understanding of children’s Chinese content,the quality of Chinese teachers is not suitable for teaching children,children’s Chinese teaching methods need to be improved.Therefore,it’s of great significance to investigate the current situation of Chinese teaching in Samutsakhon province of Thailand.This paper research about Chinese education for children in Thailand,including Chinese teachers for children,Chinese teaching for children and so on.The author takes 17 schools in Samutsakhon province as the investigation objects.In order to understand the current situation of children’s Chinese teaching in Samutsakhon province of Thailand,the author studies it through questionnaire,interview and classroom observation.Finally,by sorting out the survey results,the author summarizes the problems existing in children’s Chinese education in Samutsakhon province of Thailand.Through the investigation and analysis,the results show that:there are still many problems in the current situation of Chinese teaching for young children in Thailand,which can be divided into:the lack of overall design of Chinese education for young children,the shortage of Chinese teachers for young children,the lack of Chinese teaching materials for children,the poor Chinese environment of students’ families,etc.In view of the problems existing in the situation of Chinese teaching for children in Thailand,this paper further puts forward some suggestions for improvement.The main contents of the suggestions include:developing children’s Chinese teaching materials,improving the quality of classroom teaching,increasing the number of children’s Chinese teachers and so on.
