The reform track of China’s physical education curriculum,from the emphasis on "double-base" to "three-dimensional goals" and then to "disciplinary core literacy," is the embodiment of the profound understanding of its background of the times,disciplinary system,spiritual essence,and efforts to innovate the development of physical education in the new era.Through the research on the cultivation of core physical qualities of junior high school students in the new era,it can not only promote the change of teaching ideas of physical education teachers,improve the content setting of physical education courses,and establish featured physical education classes that endow the core quality of physical education,but also help students to form the necessary qualities and key abilities of the core qualities of sports disciplines from three aspects of sports ability,healthy behaviors,and sports ethics.The research aims to provide theoretical perspectives and practical references for China’s in-depth exploration of the core research of sports core literacy and other related research.This research mainly used the literature method,interview method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics and other methods to study the cultivation of core literacy of junior high school student sports,and it analyzed the requirements and shortcomings of junior high school students sports core literacy training.Through understanding the cultivation of core qualities of 29 junior high schools in the country,it finds out the factors of students,teachers,management,and society that affect the junior high school sports core literacy training and put forward relevant countermeasures to promote junior high school sports core literacy training.The main conclusions drawn are:(1)The three aspects of sports core literacy,consist of sports ability,healthy behavior,and sports morality,are a complete system,which is interrelated and influence each other;the teaching quality guarantee system,theoretical curriculum system and practical activity system of junior high school students’ sports core literacy training are not perfect.(2)The current situation of junior high school students’ core sports literacy shows that: in terms of athletic ability,some students have a cognitive imbalance in sports,inactive participation,poor physical fitness,limited participation in sports competitions and limited exhibitions;in terms of health behaviors,students’ physical exercise,hygienic habits have not been developed,and they also lack sports safety awareness,health knowledge,and self-regulation ability.;in terms of sports morality,lack of self-motivation motivation,competition wins and losses,and poor sense of rules.(3)The main problems and obstacles affecting the development of junior high school students’ sports core literacy include four levels: social level: lack of basic guarantees,insufficient sports atmosphere;management level: lack of school-based curriculum formulation,inadequate training for sports teachers,single evaluation,and unreasonable curriculum setting,"faults" between ideas and practice;teacher level: insufficient understanding of the core qualities of physical education,problems in classroom interest stimulation,single instructional mode,insufficient implementation of differentiated teaching,and job burnout;student level: unformed cognition and habits of sports of junior high school students,single way to acquire sports knowledge,and weak willpower.(4)Propose to break the boundary between theory and practice;implement school-based curriculum development;improve the sole teaching method;focus on the healthy development of each student;switch to the core literacy training of the subject;realize multi-channel training model;make strategies for blending standards and evaluation to promote the cultivation of junior middle school students’ core sports literacy.The recommendations made are as follows:(1)Clarify the coordinated training of sports ability,healthy behavior,and sports ethics;constantly improve the systems of education and teaching quality guarantee,theoretical curriculum,and practical activity.(2)Pay attention to the current situation of junior high school students’ core literacy cultivation,grasp the main problems in the core literacy cultivation of sports,and at the same time solve the core literacy concepts of sports and the "two skins" problem.(3)Pay attention to the professional qualities of physical education teachers,improve the professional beliefs of physical education teachers,enhance the professional sense of responsibility,guide physical education teachers to develop the concept of lifelong learning,improve traditional teaching methods,and indeed ensure the practice of core physical education.(4)Strengthen the school leaders’ determination to reform sports core literacy,implement school-based curriculum development,and establish a sports core literacy training supervision and evaluation system,integrate standards and evaluation,and form a benign mutual promotion mechanism from formulation,implementation,inspection,supervision,evaluation,feedback,and then improvement of the core literacy training of sports.
