The Chinese nation has a long history with abundant and colorful culture.Classical Chinese is not only the carrier of the culture,but also the component of the culture.The classical Chinese teaching in high school undertakes the duties of inheriting culture,developing literacy and cultivating morality.However,at present,teachers tend to value language over culture and the superficial phenomenon in the classical Chinese teaching of high school is serious.In class,teacher combs and translates classical Chinese word by word,which seems goal-oriented and clear,but in fact is monotonous and boring.The teacher ignores the text values for all but the textual value,neglects the importance of student participation in the teaching process,and forgets the essence of teaching.To carry out teaching reform,some teachers focus on the objectives and the contents of teaching,and pay more attention to the culture value and student participation.However,they turn a classical Chinese class into a culture appreciation class,which losses the “taste” of classical Chinese.Therefore,the teaching reform of classical Chinese in high school faces a dilemma.As a hot topic of recent international education reform,deeper learning theory meets the requirements for the development of students' core accomplishment,which involves new views of knowledge,teaching,studying,values,students,process,and so on.A combination with high school teaching practice certainly will promote the deepening and localization developments of deeper learning theory.In addition,the introduction of deeper learning theory will also solve the aforementioned problems and activate the classical Chinese teaching.Firstly,the domestic and overseas evolvement about the connotation,the characteristics,the strategy,and the evaluation of the deeper learning is reviewed systematically and comprehensively.The concept of deeper learning theory is clarified and the characterization is summarized.Next,for the special style of classical Chinese,the values of deeper leaning theory in classical Chinese teaching are pointed out and the corresponding teaching principles are refined by combining the requirements of students' core accomplishment and new course standard.Then,according to the situation of classical Chinese teaching in high school under deeper learning theory,new problems are discovered through questionnaire among students and interview with teachers.Finally,based on these problems,new teaching strategies are proposed from different views such as teaching contents,teaching methods,student participation and teaching evaluation.The corresponding teaching application examples are also provided,which verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategies.This thesis is aimed at enriching and perfecting the theoretical results of deeper learning by combining deeper learning theory and classical Chinese teaching in high school.Meanwhile,through the introduction of deeper learning theory into the teaching of classical teaching,the teaching problems are expected to be solved and the students are hoped to obtain all-round development.
