Writing in classical style is not only a part of China’s outstanding traditional culture, but also an important component of Chinese language teaching. The learning of writings in classical style is helpful to improve students’ humanistic literacy and scientific literacy, broaden students’ horizons, and cultivate students’ basic abilities such as reading comprehension and communication. However, at the same time, writing in classical style is far away from students’ real life and it is hard for students to understand and learn, the writing in classical style, therefore, is both the emphasis and the difficulty of Chinese teaching and learning.Junior and senior high school is continuous in two periods, therefore the students’ learning content should be continuous, which fits for the rule of the students’knowledge learning and the students’ physical and mental development. However, in reality, there is a big gap between the current Chinese textbooks for senior and high schools, especially between writings in classical style. The teaching and learning of writings in classical style is a big problem for high school students and teachers. The gap make it harder not only for students’ learning and teachers’ teaching, but also for the transition of students from junior middle school to high school in the learning of writings in classical style, therefore, the students will lose interest in writings in classical style and it will be more difficult to teach. Therefore, the writing of a coherent and systematic "classical Chinese reader" is very necessary and feasible in order to connect the learning and teaching of writings in classical style between junior and senior high school. At present the majority of the researches on the connection in the learning and teaching of Chinese between junior and senior high school focused on the overall analysis, and the analysis of reasons and abstract strategy. There is little microscopic analysis. Even the research on the connection of the writings in classical style only put forward strategies on the linkage between the teaching and learning. However, due to the period of time, these strategies cannot be used effectively by students and teachers. Some researches about the "Chinese reader" also only stay in the relationship between the" Chinese reader "and the corresponding period of the Chinese language teaching material and how to apply the "Chinese reader" to help the Chinese teaching, rarely throughout junior and senior high school in two periods.Based on this, this article take the present Chinese textbooks in PEP edition for junior and senior high schools and corresponding "Chinese reader" as the research object, the compulsory education Chinese course standard (experimental) ", "the ordinary high school Chinese language curriculum standard (experimental)" and the law of students’learning and development as the research basis. The comparative research, literature research, quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis and other research methods were used. This article focuses on comparative analysis of the current high school language teaching material and the Chinese reader, and the present situation and reason of the gap in the writings in classical style. On the basis of this analysis, it was concluded that the writing and use of "classical Chinese reader" that link the teaching and learning of writings in classical style between junior and senior high schools is necessary and feasible. Correspondingly, some suggestions for the writing and use were put forward. It is hoped that this article can provide some suggestions for the connection between junior and senior high school in the teaching and learning of writings in classical style and promote the connection between the two.
