The Research Status Of Sports Tourism In My Country From 1992 To 2019 Based On The Knowledge Map

In 2020,China will enter a well-off society in an all-round way.People appear to be more eager for happiness both mentally and physically,of which they have a more concrete understanding.The development of sports tourism can not only promote local economic development,inherit and promote traditional culture,enhance national cultural self-confidence,and strengthen the national cultural soft power,but also actively implement the national fitness and healthy China undertaking.Looking back to the development of sports tourism in China,Chinese sports tourism researchers still have a long way to go to achieve goals of sustainable green ecological development of sports tourism,promoting the national economy,and improving people's happiness.In this study,all data are quoted from the core journal literature related with sports tourism searched in the CNKI database from 1992 to 2019.The software Cite Space was used as a research tool to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution of China's sports tourism research literature,characteristics of cooperation networks,research topics and evolution of them,and research frontier trend,etc.By thinking of the experts' opinions repeatedly,the paper aims at summarizing the previous research laws,clarifying the national development trends,figuring out deficiencies among existing researches,and finally conceiving the academic research directions for the future.The study can be concluded as follows: Firstly,the number of sports tourism research literature is increasing generally with fluctuations between 1992 and 2019.The academic subjects in this field are widespread,with 85 high-yielding authors mainly from comprehensive institutions typically represented by such researchers from Jishou University as Professor Liu Shaoying,Professor Zhou Daoping and Professor Zhang Xiaolin and Professor Yu Sumei of Henan University,etc.Most of research institutions are sports colleges and normal ones,comprehensive universities occupies a small part.As for the literature,published journals are dominated by social science of sports,of which the sports culture tops the list.In terms of research literature support fund,two national fund projects “National Social Science Fund” and “National Sports Administration Social Science and Soft Science Research Project” are the biggest supporters.Secondly,in scientific research cooperation,the cooperation between high-yield institutions of sports tourism research in China is very scarce,the number of trans-regional and interdisciplinary fields is not large,mainly focus on internal cooperation,and the author's cooperative research and the independent research blossom together,taking a quite similar proportions.Thirdly,the theme of sports tourism research presents its features of diversity and development at the current stage,which tends to be different at disparate stages: at the firstphase(1992-2007),it focuses on the basic theory of sports tourism,the integrated development of sports and tourism,and the study of sports tourism development;at the second stage(2001-2011),it prefers to the study of sports economy,sports leisure,sports events,etc.;at the third stage(2012-2019)it takes the study of sports tourism management mechanisms,the integration of traditional ethnic sports and tourism,and ice and snow tourism as the principal thing.Fourthly,according to the time distribution change of the key words,the frontier trend of sports tourism research is obtained: research on the effect and development of ice and snow sports tourism in the context of the 2022 Winter Olympics;research on characteristic towns under the concept of “tourism + sports”,“sports + tourism”,“sports +” and “tourism +”;research on ethnic sports tourism from the perspective of exploration and development;and correlational research on the “One Belt and One Road” sports tourism belt.At last,in thinking about the current situation of sports tourism research,combined with current events and policies,some suggestions for current deficiencies are put forward and assumptions of academic research directions are made.It is necessary to strengthen the basic theoretical renewal of sports tourism;academic expression must be more rigorous and the conception use has to be normative;increases multidisciplinary research;cultivates inter-disciplinary sports tourism talents in a scientific way;more and more in-depth specific projects studies and empirical ones are demanded in sports tourism industry research.Finally,combining 2020,“the big year” of sports tourism with the epidemic situation of “coronavirus”,it may lead to a trend of rise after restrain.
