Objective:To sum up the clinical experience and mechanism of professor Liu Qingguo in treating Cervicogenic headache with deep needling of "Xiangtong Point",and to compare the clinical efficacy of deep needling of "Xiangtong Point"with that of routine needling in treating Cervicogenic headache through a randomized controlled clinical study,to analyze and evaluate the efficacy and safety of deep needling "Xiangtong Point" on Cervicogenic headache and its improvement on the quality of life of Cervicogenic headache patients. In order to treat the Cervicogenic headache and improve the quality of life of the patients with Cervicogenic headache by deep needling "Xiangtong Point",and to provide basis for further clinical application. Methods:A total of 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly assigned to an observation group and a control group, according to the Cervicogenic headache. In the control group, the acupoints selected for the treatment of "Solar headache"in "Acupuncture and moxibustion therapeutics "in the new century were Tianzhu County,Fengchi, houxi,Shenmai,Kunlun and Fengchi. On the basis of the control group, the Observation Group was given deep needling of "Xiang Tong Point".The above two groups were treated once a day,3 times a week, every time interval 1 day, every week for a course of treatment, after 3 courses of treatment ended. Two groups of patients were collected before treatment,at the end of the first course and at the end of the third course, the total score of simplified McGill questionnaire, the score of sensory dimension, the score of affective dimension, the score of Vas,the score of PPI and the score of cervical ROM were measured. After treatment, the data were collected and analyzed by SPSS20.0 software, and the improvement of each index was compared between the two methods. After the treatment, the Excel database was established.Result:1.After treatment, the total score of simplified McGill questionnaire,Sensory Dimension score of simplified McGill questionnaire, emotional dimension score of simplified McGill questionnaire,VAS score of Simplified McGill questionnaire,PPI score of simplified McGill questionnaire and cervical vertebra ROM score were all decreased(P<0.05).In the observation group, the total effective rate was 96.7%,6 cases were cured clinically,21 cases were effective,2 cases were effective,1 case was ineffective,in the control group, the total effective rate was 83.3%,2 cases were cured clinically,12 cases were effective,11 cases were effective,5 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate of the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).It is suggested that both deep needling of"Xiangtong Point" and routine needling have therapeutic effect on Cervicogenic headache, and the therapeutic effect of deep needling of "Xiangtong Point" on Cervicogenic headache is better than that of routine needling.2.After 1 course of treatment, patients in the two groups had a total score of McGill pain scale,a pain perception scale(s),a pain emotion scale(a),a visual analogue scale(Vas),a current pain scale(PPI),and a cervical range of motion(ROM),there were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05),it was found that the observation group treated with deep needling of "Item pain point" had better therapeutic effect than the control group treated with routine needling(P<0.05)in improving the total score of pain questionnaire, the score of sense of pain(s),the score of visual analog(Vas),the score of current pain(PPI)and the score of cervical range of motion(ROM)In terms of pain emotion score(a),the two groups were equally effective in improving pain emotion score(P>0.05)in patients with Cervicogenic headache. It is suggested that after the course of treatment, both deep needling of "Xiang Tong Point" and routine needling are effective in improving pain symptoms and mobility of the cervical spine in patients with Cervicogenic headache syndrome, the Observation Group was superior to the control group in improving the total score of McGill pain scale, the score of sense of pain(s),visual analog(Vas),current pain(PPI)and ROM.3.After 3 courses of treatment, patients in the two groups had a total score of McGill pain scale, pain perception scale(s),pain emotion scale(a),visual analogue scale(Vas),current pain scale(PPI),and cervical range of motion(ROM),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05)compared with those before treatment and between groups(P<0.05).It is suggested that deep needling of "Xiang Tong Point" and routine acupuncture are effective in improving pain symptoms and mobility of the cervical spine in patients with Cervicogenic headache after 3 courses of treatment, however, the long-term therapeutic effect of deep needling "Xiangtong Point" in treating Cervicogenic headache is better than that of routine needling.4.During the whole study process,no adverse events occurred, deep needling of empirical point therapy is safe and effective. Conclusion:Deep needling of "Xiangtong acupoint" is safe and effective in treating Cervicogenic headache, and its clinical effect is better than that of routine needling, and it can obviously improve the pain symptoms and the mobility of the cervical spine of the patients with Cervicogenic headache syndrome, and improve the quality of life of the patients.
