ObjectiveTo explore distribution of painsensitive points of cervicogenic headache To observe and compare therapeutic effects of different acupuncture methods treating cervicogenic headacheso as to provide references for clinical application.MethodsThis study was designed as a randomized controlled trial.. Random numbers were produced by software CHISS, and random envelopes were made to hide detailed treatment information which were then opened following the consultation order of patients, After the code of treatment protocol was known, the trial was implemented. The blind method was not used in this study. And the study included60cases.administered Triple needling punctured onfocal points-the most sensitive points. Firstly, one needle was punctured on the middle of lesion, with insertion of0.8~1.0cun, neutral supplementation and draining method was use after needling sensation. Then the other two needles were applied with the direction towards the first needle at discrepant distances according to the different lengths of the focal lesion. The control group used regular acupuncture. Treatment methods:Points:lesions of cervical jiaji, Tianzhu (BL10), Fengchi (GB20), Yuzhen (BL09), Shuaigu (GB08), Jianjing (GB21). Needle was manipulated every5minfor lasting the needling sensation. Treatment frequency:3times a week, once every other day, two weaks as a course and1course in total..ResultsDistribution characteristics of pain sensitive points for cervicogenic headache:Points are located in urinarybladder meridian of foot-Taiyang and the gall bladder meridian of foot-Shaoyang.VAS scores of both groups clearly improved after the treatment for the first time, after1week, and2weeks. Besides at the time when follow-up was taken, scores of both groups at other time showed no significant statistical difference, which meant the triple needling group effected no worse than the conventional needling group.After3months of follow-up, the remission rate and long-term therapeutic effect of triple needling group were superior to that of conventional needling group. The results of ROM:Two groups had obvious curative effects in improving the activity of cervical spine, And as time prolonged, treatment amount accumulated, the trend showed that triple needling group for improving the activity of cervical spine would be superior to that of the conventional needling group. The results of total scores of combined symptoms:Two groups had obvious curative effects in improving the symptoms of headache,And as time prolonged, treatment amount accumulated, the trend showed that triple needling group for improving the activity of cervical spine would be superior to that of the conventional needling group. The results of TCD:Results often demonstrated average velocity of blood flow lowered than normal range of both or one side vertebral artery, and some patients manifested as higher velocity of blood flow of basal artery. Both groups improved the velocity of blood flow of vertebrobasilar arteries and adjusted it to the normal value, And as time prolonged, treatment amount accumulated, the trend showed that triple needling group for improving the activity of cervical spine would be superior to that of the conventional needling group.Conclusions1. Cervicogenic headache points alongbladder meridian of foot-Taiyang and the gall bladder meridian of foot-Shaoyang. And Fengchi (GB20), Shuaigu (GB08), Taiyang(EX-HN05), Naokong(GB19), Tianzhu (BL10), Tianchong(GB09), Chengling(GB18), Wangu(GB12) were in high frequency of application.2. Focal points of the neck is more cable-like nodules, about1cm long,0.69cm wide.3. Triple needling can effectively alleviate cervicogenic headache, Superior General and long-term curative effect of acupuncture..4. Triple needling can effectively improve activity of cervical spondylotic myelopathy 5. Triple needling can be effective in the treatment of symptoms with cervical headache6. Triple needling can effectively improve the vertebral artery and Basilar Artery blood supply...
