Purpose: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine and simple traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy of qi stagnation and blood stasis type, compare the improvement of cervical function, pain, joint range of motion and other aspects of the two treatment methods, and analyze the reasons for the difference in efficacy between acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine and simple traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy of qi stagnation and blood stasis type. Objective to provide reference for clinical application of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy of qi stagnation and blood stasis type.Material and method: All the subjects in this study were outpatients and inpatients in the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine.48 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were selected and included in this study. The selected subjects were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,24 cases in the experimental group and 24 cases in the control group. The control group was treated with xinshentongzhuyu mixture 50 ml,three times a day,one week as a course of treatment,a total of two courses; On the basis of the treatment method of the control group, the experimental group was additionally treated with acupuncture, retaining needles for 30 minutes once a day, with 5 days as a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment, with an interval of 2 days between the two courses.Cervical function was evaluated by cervical Disability Index questionnaire(NDI),pain was evaluated by simplified Mc Gill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ),and cervical joint range of motion was measured to evaluate cervical joint activity. The efficacy was evaluated by cervical Disability Index questionnaire(NDI).Objective To observe the changes of cervical function, pain and range of motion of the subjects, and observe whether the subjects have adverse reactions in the process of treatment, and to explore the curative effect and difference of cervical function, pain and range of motion of cervical joints in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy between the two groups. The test data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0.Results:1.Baseline data analysis of general information: there was no significant difference in gender, age, course of disease,SF-MPQ score, cervical mobility and NDI score between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).2.Intra group comparison between the two groups before and after treatment: before and after treatment,SF-MPQ scores and total scores of the experimental group and the control group were decreased in varying degrees, cervical joint range of motion values were increased in varying degrees,NDI scores were decreased in varying degrees, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.Comparison between the two groups after treatment: after treatment,in SF-MPQ pain rating index(PRI),visual pain score(VAS),current pain status(PPI)and total score, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P > 0.05);In the range of motion, the difference between the experimental group and the control group was statistically significant(P < 0.05);In terms of NDI score, the score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05),suggesting that the experimental group was better than the control group in terms of cervical spine function.4.After treatment, the total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.During the treatment,3 cases fell off in the experimental group and 4 cases fell off in the control group, with a total of 7 cases.Among them,2 cases were lost to follow-up,2 cases dropped out due to business trip,1 case dropped out due to travel, and 2 cases dropped out due to difficulty in tolerating acupuncture pain.No adverse reactions such as needle fainting, hematoma, broken needle were found during the treatment, indicating that the treatment scheme was relatively safe. There was no aggravation during the treatment.Conclusion:1.Xinshentongzhuyu mixture can treat the pain symptoms of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy of qi stagnation and blood stasis type.2.Acupuncture can improve the range of motion and function of cervical spondylosis of nerve root type with qi stagnation and blood stasis.3.The clinical effect of acupuncture combined with xinshentongzhuyu mixture in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy of qi stagnation and blood stasis type is better than that of xinshentongzhuyu mixture alone, which can be further used in clinic.
