Clinical Observation Of Qinggan Decoction In The Treatment Of Chronic Cough (the Syndrome Of Liver Fire Invading The Lung)

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Qinggan Decoction in the treatment of chronic cough with syndrome of liver fire invading lung.Methods: This study choose seventy patients with chronic cough(syndrome of liver fire invading lung)from out-patient department of the Respiratory Department of No.1 Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Changde.According to the random method,they divided into experimental group and control group,with 35 cases in each group.The experimental group was treated with Qinggan Decoction,the other one was treated with Compound Methoxyphenamine Capsules.Two groups were treated for 4 weeks.These datas of cough symptom score?VAS?TCM symptoms?Fe NO?the peripheral blood eosinophils counts and LCQ were studied before and after treatment,and arrangefollow-up after treatment 2 weeks later.Results: 1.After treatment,the score of daytime cough symptom was reduced in two group(P<0.01),there was a statistically significant in the score of daytime cough symptom between the two group(P<0.05).After treatment,the scroe of night cough symptom was reduced in the two group(P<0.01),there was a statistically significant in the score of night cough symptom between the two group(P<0.05).To compare the score of day and night cough symptom after the treatment,in the experimental group,8 cases were clinical controled,17 cases had marked effect,5cases had effect,3 cases had no effect,the total effective rate was 90.9%;in the control group,3cases were clinical controled,19 cases had marked effect,4 cases had effect,8 cases had no effect,the total effective rate was 76.1%,there was a statistically significant in the effective rate of treating day and night cough symptom between two group(P<0.05).2.After treatment,the scores of VAS were reduced in two group(P<0.01),there was a statistically significant in the score of VAS between the two group(P<0.05).3.After treatment,the peripheral blood eosinophils counts were reduced in two group(P<0.01),there was a statistically significant in the peripheral blood eosinophils counts between the two group(P<0.01).4.After treatment,the scores of LCQ were reduced in two group(P<0.01),there was a statistically significant in the score of LCQ between the two group(P<0.05).5.After treatment,the values of Fe NO were reduced in two group(P<0.01),there was a statistically significant in the value of Fe NO between the two group(P<0.01).6.After treatment,the scores of cough?expectoration?upset irritability?chest and hypochondrium with swelling pain?face redness?dry mouth with bitter taste symptoms?moist rales and total symptoms were reduced in the two group(P<0.05),there was a statistically significant in the scores of cough?expectoration?upset irritability?chest and hypochondrium with swelling pain?face redness?dry mouth with bitter taste symptoms?moist rales and total symptoms between the two group(P<0.05),and the experimental group was better than the control group in treating cough?expectoration?upset irritability?chest and hypochondrium with swelling pain?face redness?dry mouth with bitter taste symptoms?moist rales and total symptoms.To compare the score of TCM symptoms after the treatment,in the experimental group,9 cases were recovered,16 cases had marked effect,5 cases had some effect,3 cases had no effect,the total effective rate was 91%;in the control group,3 cases were recovered,17 cases had marked effect,7 cases had some effect,7cases had no effect,the total effective rate was 79%,there was a statistically significant in the effective rate of treating day and night cough symptom between two group(P<0.05).7.The follow-up after treatment 2 weeks later,there was a statistically significant in the score of daytime cough symptom between the two group(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant in the score of night cough symptom between the two group(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant in the score of day and night cough symptom between the two group(P<0.01).There was a statistically significant in the score of VAS between the two group(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant in the peripheral blood eosinophils counts between the two group(P<0.01).There was a statistically significant in the score of LCQ between the two group(P<0.01).There was a statistically significant in the value of Fe NO between the two group(P<0.01).There was a statistically significant in the treating cough?expectoration?upset irritability?chest and hypochondrium with swelling pain?face redness?dry mouth with bitter taste symptoms?moist rales and total symptoms between the two group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Qinggan Decoction was used to treat chronic cough with syndrome of liver fire invading lung can effectively relieve the symptom of cough,and improve the symptoms of cough?expectoration?upset irritability?chest and hypochondrium with swelling pain?face redness?dry mouth with bitter taste symptoms.That has a good clinical effect and has satisfactory security.
