Objective By observing the Change of Shaoyao Gancao decoction on the pathogenic wind invading lung-type of postinfectious cough in patients with clinical symptoms and signs, to evaluate the clinical efficacy, to provide some clinical evidence for combine traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment the PIC.Methods eighty eight PIC patients were accorded to the order randomly divided into traditional Chinese medicine group, western medicine group and combine traditional Chinese and western medicine group. The traditional Chinese medicine group take the peony liquorice decoction. The western medicine group take the Compound Methoxyphenamine Capsules(Asmeton). The combine traditional Chinese and western medicine group take the Asmeton and peony liquorice decoction. The period of treatment is 7 days. To observe the change of clinical symptoms points in treatment for 3 days, to evaluate clinical efficacy and safety in treatment for 7 days. Results 1. Clinical curative effect:after treatment, the combine traditional Chinese and western medicine group total efficiency was 96.67%, the Chinese medicine group total efficiency was 90%, the western medicine group total efficiency was 82.14%, with statistical significance (P<0.05).2. Clinical symptom score in treatment after three days:after treatment in the three groups of symptoms of cough, sputum, pharyngeal itching score less than before treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Cough integral reduced order:combine traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment group> western medicine treatment group> traditional Chinese medicine treatment group, and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). In the aspect of reducing sputum integral, combine traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment group is superior to the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group, and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05), and western medicine treatment group had no significant difference with the other two groups(P>0.05). To improve the pharyngeal itching symptoms, there was no statistically significant difference between the three way(P>0.05).3. Clinical symptom score in treatment after seven days:after treatment in the three groups of symptoms of cough, sputum, pharyngeal itching score significantly reduced than before treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05). Compared with three groups after treatment, combine traditional Chinese and western medicine group in the treatment of cough, sputum, pharyngeal itching clinical symptoms score were decreased significantly, and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05), but the other two medicine groups of cough, sputum, pharyngeal itching showed no statistically significant(P>0.05).4. Total score of clinical symptoms in treatment after seven days:after the three groups treatment, clinical symptoms total score decreased significantly compared with before treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Compared with three groups after treatment, combine traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment group clinical symptoms total integral decrease is more apparent, and there is no significant difference between Chinese medicine treatment group and Western medicine treatment group, with statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion Peony liquorice decoction can improve the symptoms of the pathogenic wind invading lung-type of postinfectious cough, Combined with Western medicine treatment can quickly alleviate the symptoms of cough and expectoration, so as to shorten the duration of symptoms, improve the clinical comprehensive efficacy, offer a new way for the treatment of PIC.
