Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture and moxibustion based on the meridian tendon theory in the treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation, and to objectively evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture and moxibustion based on the meridian tendon theory in the treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation,so as to provide objective basis for the promotion of the efficacy of acupuncture and moxibustion based on the meridian tendon theory. Methods: Sixty patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation admitted to our hospital from July 2020 to December2020 were selected and divided into 2 groups according to the random number table, the observation group and the control group,30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with acupuncture method based on meridian tendon theory, while the control group was treated with ordinary acupuncture method.After2 weeks of treatment,VAS score, lumbar JOA score and TCM syndrome score were compared between the two groups before and after treatment, and the total effective rate was compared to evaluate the clinical efficacy. Results:After treatment, the improvement of VAS score,JOA score and TCM syndrome score in the observation group was better than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of each index in the two groups were better than before treatment, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).The total effective rate of the control group was 86.7%;The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.7%.The overall efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant abnormality in the safety indicators of patients in the two groups. There were no obvious adverse reactions in the control group and the observation group during the treatment, and the safety was high. Conclusion: The results of this clinical study show that acupuncture based on the meridian tendon theory can effectively improve the symptoms of patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation, the efficacy is better than ordinary acupuncture, and clinical effect is faster, can be used as an effective and safe treatment for patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation, worthy of further clinical promotion.
