Clinical Observation Of Zhang's Huoxue Xiaozhong Fang In The Treatment Of Joint Swelling And Pain After Arthroscopy For Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:To select the patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA)who took Zhang’s Huoxu e Xiaozhong Therapy(to activate blood circulation and relieve swelling)after arthroscopic su rgery.According to the changes of the swelling value of knee joint,Visual Analogue Scale and Lysholm to conduct a statistical analysis,then to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Zhang’s Huoxue Xiaozhong Therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis after arthroscopic surgery,and to seek better ideas and better methods for the recovery of knee joint function after art hroscopic surgery.Method:In the program,72 patients,diagnosed as knee osteoarthritis from April 2020 toMarch 2021,were willing to accept knee arthroscopic surgery in Orthopedics Department 1of Yueyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.And they were divided randomly into treatment group and basic control group according to Doll’s clinical cases.There were 3 subje cts with poor medical compliance and 1 subject appeared with diarrhea after taking the medi cine were shed.Thus,the treatment group consists of 31 cases and the control group consist s of 30 cases.The control group was given basal treatment as the intervention means,whileZhang’s Huoxue Xiaozhong Therapy was additionally applied to the treatment group for 10 days.The swelling value of knee joint,the scores of VAS and Lysholm were observed and r ecorded preoperatively and postoperatively on the 1st,3rd,7th and 10 th day in two groups.The various indexes were statistically analyzed by using statistical software SPSS22.0,and P<0.05 was set as the standard for statistical significance of observation data.Results:(1)There was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control gr oup on the 10 th day of treatment(P > 0.05).(2)After treatment,the knee swelling values of patients were compared between two groups at the same time point(P < 0.05),within groups at different time points(P < 0.05),and at any two time points(P < 0.05).The difference was statistically significant.(3)After treatment,the VAS scores of patients were compared betwwen two groups atthe same time point(P < 0.05),within different time groups(P < 0.05),and at any two ti me points.The difference was statistically significant.(4)There was no significant difference in function score of Lysholm between two gr oups on the first day and the third day after operation(P > 0.05),but there was significant difference on the seventh day and the tenth day after operation(P < 0.05),and the treatmentgroup was better than the control group.Conclusions:Zhang’s Huoxue Xiaozhong Therapy can improve the swelling and the pain of knee oste oarthritis after arthroscopic surgery accompanied by basic treatment,which is also more cond ucive to help patients recover the knee function.And its overall safety is high,which is wor thy of promotion and application.
