| With the advent of a knowledge-based economy society,innovation has become the core driving force for urban and regional socio-economic development.The metropolitan area inherits the urban agglomeration upwards and connects the cities downwards,which is an important regional space for promoting urbanization.While achieving high-quality economic development,innovation has an impact on the spatial pattern of the metropolitan area.In this context,it is of great significance to select the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of collaborative innovation in metropolitan areas for research.Through the combing of domestic and foreign related documents and the definition of the concept of collaborative innovation in metropolitan area,it is first proposed that collaborative innovation in metropolitan area is composed of three parts: innovation scale,innovation connection and innovation division;then,taking Qingdao metropolitan area as an example,select invention patent application,Joint application for invention patents and IPC numbers of invention patent application data,using methods such as Gini Coefficient,Regional Specialization Coefficient,Revealed Technical Advantages,Social Network Analysis,and Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis and other methods to study the spatiotemporal evolution of innovation scale,innovation connection and innovation division in Qingdao metropolitan;finally,based on the research on collaborative innovation characteristics of Qingdao metropolitan area,the innovation types of Qingdao metropolitan area are divided.Conclusions:(1)The scale of innovation in the Qingdao metropolitan area continues to increase,and its innovation status in Shandong Province continues to improve;the scale of enterprise innovation is the largest,as the innovation scale of colleges and universities increases,different types of innovation tend to be balanced;the scale of innovation in the metropolitan area gathers in Qingdao obviously,presenting core-peripheral characteristics,individual innovations are mainly distributed in Weifang and Qingdao,while other types of innovations are highly concentrated in Qingdao;as innovation activities spread to peripheral areas,spatial differences have shrunk,but the core-peripheral characteristics have not changed.(2)The scale of innovation connections in the metropolitan area has increased,and the regions participating in innovation connections have increased,but a complete innovation network has not been formed;Qingdao is a place where innovation connections are concentrated,Laoshan District has become the first area of innovation connections,and the scope of innovation connections has gradually expanded.(3)The degree of regional specialization in the metropolitan area has increased.Qingdao presents diversified features in the innovative division,while the peripheral areas show specialization;the innovative division in the metropolitan area has initially formed,with obvious regional division in advantageous innovation areas,and advantageous innovation areas are highly concentrated in Qingdao.(4)The Qingdao metropolitan area has formed three innovation types:innovation core area,innovation general area,and innovation offline area.The number of regions of the three innovation types has the characteristics of scale grade and the characteristics of spatial agglomeration are obvious.The paper introduces the innovation division and studies the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of innovation in metropolitan area from three dimensions of innovation scale,innovation connection and innovation division,which is the biggest innovation of this paper.The thesis expands the research depth of innovation activities in the metropolitan area based on the county unit and the use of big data to obtain and patent data.However,due to the complexity of the innovation system of the metropolitan area,the research on the spatiotemporal evolution of collaborative innovation in the metropolitan area is only the beginning,and the mechanism or influencing factors of the innovation evolution should be further explored in the future. |
